Max Payne

This movie was ok... but it didn't live up to my expectations.

The last quarter was pretty good, but the beginning was slow and it didn't follow the game much at all.

I think it would have been a much better movie had it been more true to the story.

Mark wahlberg's acting at least was much better than in the happening (don't get me started on that movie).

I give it a 6.5. Let me know your toughts.

Yeah. I'd have to say that I was a bit disappointed, although I still enjoyed it.

I like Wahlberg in it. And I liked the demons.

As for the Happening,... best if we just pretend it never happened.
I haven't seen it yet and i'm not too sure that I will. It looks as though there's too much style (ie fight choreography, flying angels and use of strange colour filters) standing in the way of the substance of the story. From what I can tell from the trailers, it looks as though they've tried too hard to make a film of the game rather than make an action noir film with the game as a reference point. I might check it out on video.
Actually, it was more that they tried to make a noir film using the game as a reference.... they just didn't do it that successfully. Still an alright movie though.

I'm not really a "Mark E Mark" fan myself... He is one of the people who started that whole wearing the pants around the knees trend, that I for one can't stand...

Wahlberg has a couple of movies worth watching, but for the most part, I'm not a fan of his...
