My Name is Bruce
Hey, tonight I'm going to see the new Bruce Campbell movie at the Main Theater in Royal Oak. Bruce Campbell is going to be there in person to promote it tonight and tomorrow night.
Don't know if many of you are Bruce Campbell fans but he's sort of the modern-day knig of B-Movies. The Evil Dead Triology, Army of Darkness, Man with the Screaming Brain, etc.
The IMDB synopsis:
B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon.
Should be fun (if you like this genre.) ANy Bruce Campbell fans out there?

I have just returned from My Name is Bruce. I am so pumped right now! It was so much fun.
The theater was packed with enthusiastic Bruce Campbell fans. The film itself had many references to other BC films, and each time, the audience would start cheering and clapping. The audience participation made it more of an event.
There were several cast and crew members from the movie scattered among the audience. Bruce took questions for about half an hour after the movie. The question period was as much fun as the movie because Bruce is very quick witted.
The movie was pure Bruce Campbell. If you are a fan, you won't be disappointed, but it is probably best to see it in a theater full of fans if possible. Otherwise is might seem a little too corny. Of course, it's supposed to be corny, but an enthusiastic audience makes it even better.
AS I said in post one, I saw this at the Main Theater in Royal Oak. That is significant because both Bruce and Sam Rami were born and raised in Royal Oak. The Rami's were in the audience also.
As you can tell, I'm just so excited. One of the most fun movie experiences I can remember.

Nothing beats a great audience, and it's such a rare thing now. I went to the midnight premiere showing of the last Star Wars on a Thursday just so I knew I'd get a fun crowd, not even for the movie itself, which I easily could've waited a week or two for. Seeing a movie is rarely an event, and so the audience doesn't react accordingly. That's why I enjoy movie festivals, especially Fantasia here. The audience is always a sport, and the mood is just wild.
With some luck Fantasia will pick this one up. They had a showing of The Woods two summers ago, another of Bruce's film.

Part-Time Nomad
I've seen some of his stuff, not sure why he is still considered B-Movie, I think he is ready for Hollywood...
Did you actually get to meet him or just heard him speak and answer questions???
