Little Big Adventure on GOG.com

Aside from the Tex Murphy series the other game series which was the most memorable during my childhood was Little Big Adventure 1 and 2. Which are both adventure games with a unforgetable atmosphere, awesome music and a story that spans many continents in the first game and even many worlds in the sequel. The gameplay features an attack system where you have to aim magic projectiles at enemies in different ways. You also sometimes have to approach certain situations differently e.g. sneaking around. The 3D sprites haven't dated well but the backgrounds are still nice (such as the library in the 2nd screenshot on GOG's page). I've replayed the LBA games a few times over and they never get old for me. I first came across the series when I saw someone playing LBA 1 and it entranced me back then, I didn't have a PC but I HAD to get one for this game! Then there was the fun of working out how to get a game to run in DOS which I had never used before. But it was worth it. GOG.com have announced on their Facebook that they plan to release the sequel on GOG at some point in the future too! Unlike a lot of sequels it was actually awesome and improved on some things (such as taking away receiving damage when running into walls). Though according to discussion on GOG if you mount the LBA 1 image (the LBA.GOG file) in a virtual CD-ROM drive, and use the LbaWin free software to run it from the drive it apparently has a setting you can use to remove the wall bumping thing etc. Just like the Tex Murphy series there was another game planned but due to studio changes and staff going separate ways fans have been left waiting and hoping for an LBA 3 someday.
