Okay, been meaning to type this down for a long time...

I agree too all things said here we are a bunch of freeks who love the tex games and come together to talk about that game.

In doing so we found out we are so muth more we shared love hate good and bad times together.

We all agree in principle that noone is the same and i wont deny we never had good discusions about politics and more on these forems but and i stress the words we never disrespected others persons views even if we didnt agree.

That is what makes this place suth a good spot to be so many diferent beliefs convictions but we all help one another as a big famely.

What i would like to say persenaly is we have a bunch of fab peaple in this place peaple who been here for years and yep they do deserve our respect. I do not post ofthen or have alot to say at times but when i do i try and make the offort by not posting if it might hurt someones feelings.

Everyone here deserves a spot but keep in mind what u type might hurt others even if u dont try too do that. discusions arguing is no problem at all but also take into acount u can only share your beliefs u cant force others to take yours.

PPS i didnt want to post it here but might as well do it i got goverment grant to get industrial lighitng fitted in my house. Thats 1800 US im geting and it chould inprove my quilety of live dramasticly. Well ill see more clealy where i forgot to hoover for once thing.

Let me say something about it from the perspective of someone who is pretty new here.
I have watched this forum every now and then over quite some years until i finally joined.
It was my love for the tex murphy games that brought me here in the first place.
My first Tex game was the pandora directive in 96, and I kept on playing the games since then ( finished the pandora directive once again a couple of days ago, another round of Overseer is next). I dont´ know to me the Tex and the Gabriel Knight games as well are a lot more than just games, they include memories from my youth ( ok im not exactly old now) and I always cared too much about the characters to let go of them. The world created in both of these series have something that is so intensed and that drags me so deep into their worlds, that it always feels a bit like home, when I return to the games.
And there is one thing I´ve always appreciated a lot about this board long before I joined.
There is so much aggression on so many other boards I know, people bash each other and they use the boards to let out their daily frustration, and I´m sick of that and thats why I´m so attracted to this board. Beside a common love for the Tex games I have never seen anything comparable to this board. The kindness and hospitality here is the exact opposite to what´s going on on the other boards. I don´t know if just feels great to come here and see the positivity that is shared here and thats why I´ ll stay here and start posting more regulary, I´m especially looking forward to talk about the texgames themself.
But to get to the end : This board really left an impression on me and a lot of appreciation to everyone that made it what it is!!!

Wow, those are some wonderful words Van Glower. It's great to hear your perspective. And thank you for bringing us some awesome info, by your avatar and name I figured you were a die hard GK fan. But there's more than enough love to go around!!!

I really enjoyed the Gabriel Knight FMV adventure too. It has good memories like the Tex games as well for me.

VonGlower thanks for those words. It's always so great to have people posting saying they've been about for ages in the background. It always makes me feel that there are new people all the time when actually it's one big group of people who share something crazy and cool - Tex.

VonGlower..well spoken!! I just love coming onto this message board and seeing what everyone is talking about each day. It's always something new but we always keep Tex the main focus. Everyone here is cool and it's nice to see some new faces in here!
