True, but do you really need to Cheat in a game like Mega Man??? Better question, Are there even cheat codes for Mega Man 2???

I've said in other threads, I'm not much of a Cheater, the game has to have gotten to the point where it is almost Unenjoyable for me to consider cheating... That's just me though, my son loves to cheat, had to have a certain book for his Birthday, Over 18,000 Confirmed Cheat Codes... And of course his mother got it for him... Kids today, they wouldn't know what it meant to EARN something if you gave them a Dictionary with the word Highlighted...

The Nuclear Vegetable has got it straight!

Of course, I'm not sure about the emulated version on a dreamcast... Can you save/load in the middle of a game? If so, it doesn't count. Also, most emulators plays the game slightly faster than the old NES would've, so you get a small boost from that as well.

I'll give it a go one of the next days and post my time here. I'll try to cut down on the lingering about for listening to the nice tunes and just go through as fast as I can manage.

Should be fun, never did an actual speedrun.

Also, anyone who wishes to sell me PAL-versions of NES games, please PM me.

Well that counts me out Fred. The dreamcast NES disc i have does indeed have save/load functions.

The original Megaman is released on virtual console, so i guess i gotta wait for #2 to be released before i can join in... though if my NES was still working properly, i'd buy the cartridge like that *snaps*

I would suggest i could use virtualNES (an online database of playable nes games using java), as that has no save/load, but there are weird lag issues with that program so i'd be hindering myself.

Do you use PAL or NTSC versions of the game where you live, AV?

Well i have an American NES and SNES, as they're remnants of when i moved here from the US.

On a sidenote, i looked up prices of the US Megaman 2 on Ebay yesterday. Really cheap, so i might treat myself seeing as my Birthday is this month ^^
