I can't say I've read all of Doyle's work on Holmes, but I've read a few. I do like his style of writing, but his logic can be quite flawed at times.

Such as the bit where Holmes deducts the owner of a hat is very smart because the hat is large in size. I do realize that was popular belief back then, but... Oh well.

I'd have to say yes, though, I quite enjoy the stories about Sherlock Holmes.

I've read and enjoyed all of the Sherlock Holmes stories. I like the old Holmes movies that they show on public tv from time to time.

Ah you mean the old Basil Rathbone movies? I've only seen a few of those. I've loaded up my DVD collection with everything Jeremy Brett has done.

Hey Jane,
I don't know if you've heard but Conan is doing a 30 city tour across the US and parts of Canada. It's called the "Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour".

Sadly for me he won't be stopping in Houston for me :( but maybe he'll be coming near you.

I'm with you, Sam. Jeremy Brett played the best SH ever as far as I'm concerned.

Hey Decat! Have you seen Brett as Holmes? Rathbone was VERY good, but Brett was exceptional. Also, the story lines were closer to the mark when Brett played SH.
