Merry Christmas to you as well Chris, and have a Great New Year...

What do you mean by the Clock???

The clock in the First Movie was struck by Lightning which sent Marty back to 1985...
In part 2 Biff and his gang crashed through the building's front windows of where the Clock was in 2015...
And in the 3rd Doc and Marty had their Picture taken with the Clock when it was first build in 1885, just before it was raised and set in the Clock Tower...

So which one do you remember???

I don't know now,
I remember the rope on the clock & the lightning, I think this was the first one when he went back in time when the parents were young.

Yeah that's part one... Because Marty didn't have any Plutonium to power the Flux-Capacitor and the Lightning Bolt was the only thing that would generate 1.21 Gigawatts... And that's how he gets back to 1985...

Then the Doc goes off to 2015 and needs to come back to get Marty and Jennifer because their son is going to join Biff's Gang and end up in jail, but Marty foils Biff's plan and Biff and his gang go crashing through the lobby of the Clock Tower... That's Part 2...

During Part 2 Old Man Biff takes the Sports Book back to 1955 and Marty and the Doc have to go get it, at the end the Doc gets hit by Lightning and goes to 1885... Marty goes back to get him and they have their Picture taken with the NEW Clock just before it is hoisted up and put into the Clock Tower... That is Part 3...

I Don't like Steam and I'll pay the extra couple of dollars to get it from the main site... I can't stand Steam...

If GOG decides to sell then let me know... lol

I'll be purchasing it next week for certain... My Son will be at his mother's for the week and I will have plenty of time on my hands to enjoy it...

I always stayed away from steam in the past but at least you can still backup your downloads,
gog only sells old games except for their mother company new game whitcher 2 which you can preorder. steam has the same game but no-one will order from steam when gog will have it drm free.

at least with steam you don't have to worry if it will run on your system, they all seem to run on win 7 64

I don't care what Steam does or what they sell, I can't stand their downloader and other headaches involved with them... So I don't even bother...

I'll just get this from Telltale themselves... Just like I'll get all the games Big Finish makes from Big Finish themselves, unless for some reason it isn't available through their website...

Well, the bottom line is what we think as individuals. Still, everyone's input is appreciated. Personally, I trust the judgment of those who have walked before me and, as an example, GOG was recommended, I got the Tex games and played them without difficulty. If someone says steam is a good place for games and it works for them, well, I just might follow suit. I look forward to playing many adventure games with my new PC and I am thankful for this board, GOG and Steam for their efforts to make older games available.

Just finished it today for the first time. I really enjoyed the first episode. It has picked up nicely from where Part 3 left off to the extent that this could have been filmed in 1991. But somehow, the adventure game format just feels like the best possible medium for the series to continue in. AJ LoCascio has ceased the role perfectly while Christopher Lloyd sounds as though he has been out of the role for only 6 months.

I felt that the fluidity of the story worked well despite it being a little short. It would have been nice to have some puzzles in the vein of mini-games rather than just drag and click or dialogue based problems. I'm also hoping that in future instalments we actually get to drive the delorian in some way. Perhaps maybe an action scene could be worthwhile to replicate the final "confrontations" that Marty seemed to be up against in the films.

Nevertheless, the episode has set up what promises to be a very interesting 6 months.

4 out of 5

well I am also enjoying this , marty is so cute & when he walks he looks so funny.
I feel like I want to pick him up & give him a little cuddle.............LOL
I am sure this wasn't actually the reaction the developers were aiming at but least I am enjoying it.

Joel,

I was wondering whether Telltale made any gameplay improvements to their games over the years. I played the first two episodes of Strong Bad and they were funny, but nearly every puzzle was solved by either clicking through dialogue options or by clicking on everything in search for items. I've blacklisted Telltale games as a developer I refuse to buy games made by them, considering all they do is make interactive cartoons (the gameplay is filler), and it seems their idea of gameplay hasn't changed. Maybe one day they'll try something new.

Vracar,

no, one of my criticisms of the game that too much of the gameplay logic relied on dialogue options and using inventory items on the in-game world. Sadly, you don't even get to drive the delorian (not yet anyway). I'd like to see them mix up the gameplay with some mini-games or perhaps some action to break up the gameplay. Nothing over the top, but just some brief moments to give the game some more versatility.

Having said that, while the formula for Telltale may be same-old-same-old in some areas, they have gone about it in a way that is totally relevant to the tone and setting of the film so it's not just some generic fill-in to keep the game going. I would go into specifics but I think i'm so far the first one on this forum who has finished ep 1 so I don't want to spoil anything.

The first movie was on the telly here today and I was thinking, when they go into the future by 30 years - they go to 2015 - not long to go!!

And of course in 2015 they had hoverboards, quick drying clothes and all sorts.

But they did have 3D movies - and we're just about there on that one....
