Just sait and wait my friend. It takes a while for anythign to register in the Wii world. I have a few peopel in my parade... they don't have to be on a machine currently switched on to appear. Once it connects you your freinds Wii once, it will remember all their Mii characters and place them in your parade for you to pluck at will.

Also, you can send you Miis to your friends.
