I've Achieved many things to be proud of and that have been quite public... I don't want my info splashed all over the net for just anyone to surf through though... Without Looking it up, do you know who did the Music for Pandora Directive and Overseer??? Matt Heider, he doesn't have a Wikipedia page...

Here's a name that got me into a bit of Hot Water with someone else on this Site, Adrian Carr... Guess What??? He Doesn't Have A Wikipedia Page...

I sure didn't know who he was, until someone beat it into me with a blunt object...
Either way, my point about Mr. Carr is, that he doesn't have a Wikipedia Page and he was very much involved with the Last 2 Tex Murphy Games... Just being involved with Pandora Puts you on the Map when it comes to the Tex Murphy Series... I found out so many behind the scenes information {very intriguing and interesting information} just by joining this community...
It has also made an impact on my game playing... When I play a game, I pay attention to the credits and I do research on the internet beyond the reviews... Not like I use to, just put it in, play it, beat it, then it becomes a Dust Collector... That use to be my game playing style...


I'm sorry, but I must lean towards the Privacy Issue that others have brought up about this...

I don't think there is anyone here who isn't interested in protecting others privacy. I'm especially careful about privacy. There's not going to be any personal info on the Wikipedia because there is no such info made available. Nothing about kids, childhood, housing, marital status etc. Some authors get involved in personal interviews and enjoy divulging such stuff, for whatever reason no such interviews exist so there is nothing public anyway and won't therefore be anything public on Wikipedia. Its just a more wordy bibliography list. And a simple duplication of whats on Amazon, IMDB, MobyGames (links lead to the info on him) and many other basic lists.

If anyone is against places like Wikipedia then they should probably boycot and never browse Amazon.com, IMDB.com or any shops / gaming news / book review sites that ever mention Aaron Conners including (but not limited to) MobyGames. Bibiliographies are what every author has, just so that people can see other similar(or not similar) things by the author that they may be interested in, like what Amazon and other shop sites already do.

If you are posted in newspapers then its most likely that people already can browse your achievement history by going to their local library for the newspaper archives if their local library offer such a service (some may do some smaller ones may not) or going online for newspaper archives. Similarly if someone wanted to write an article on brave firefighters they could go look into newspaper archives to see brave stories of firefighters etc. If you didnt give your real name to the newspapers but a pseudonym then that would of been your choice and some authors decide to use pseudonyms for that reason (the author of Tex Murphy has not). If you didnt give out personal info then that info wouldnt be made available and this Wikipedia page is basically just that, the archives of what was made available not what wasn't. Personally I probably would prefer not to be featured in a newspaper or would use a psuedonym regardless of what I had done because that is the extent to which I don't want to divulge info about myself and thats my choice.
Privacy is very important to be respected, we all can agree on that!

And theres no reason why Matt Heider and Adrian Carr couldnt have a Wikipedia page since they already each have IMDB pages (and other such pages like Matt Heider has this fan club page ) stating basically what would go on the Wikipedia pages. Wikipedia ranks higher in Google than IMDB so its a good way to get the recognition and credit that IMDB has given them out to a wider audience. It would be a bit of a travesty if someone had listed Tex Murphy and not put Adrian Carr or Matt Heider in the credits listing and so IMDB has credited them and Wikiepdia would just mirror that. But noone has yet because they sadly havent found the same massive fanbase or recognition as Sonic the Hedgehog and joilet_jane was just trying to rectify that for Aaron.

I disagree. There is nothing 'just ordinary' about either Jen or Jim. But then again I have the honor and privilege of knowing them better, and what they are both capable of.
