That sucks... lol

Gonna go and get people excited and they'll not even know if they can run the game or not...
I've gotten a new computer since, but that happen to me when Star Trek: Legacy came out... I got all excited, went and bought it then realized I couldn't run it... lol I knew I was going to be upgrading soon, so I didn't bother returning it, just upgraded a little faster... ;}

Very interesting: on http://www.justadventure.com ( a very good site by the way), Gray matter holds the nr. 1 position in the most anticipated adventures 2008 poll. A vampyre story is on nr. 2 but Gray matter is over 300 votes in front.

Diamonds in the Rough (155) 6%
Dracula 3 (175) 7%
Dracula Origin (66) 3%
Gray Matter (869) 34%
Heaven (79) 3%
Once Upon A Time In Japan (124) 5%
Overclocked (168) 6%
Simon the Sorcerer 4 (183) 7%
Sinking Island (242) 9%
Vampyre Story (525) 20%

Total Votes: 2586

Great to see such an overwhelming response for Janes work, even though the publisher nearly doesen´t hand out any infos.

Vampire Story and Gray Matter both look like good games... I just wish they would give a Release Date on them and the Recommended Computer Specs for them as well...

I'm worried that it's going to come out and then there are only going to be like 10 people able to play it, because the requirements are going to be outrageous...

wow, i didn't realise Jane Jensen's new project is right around the corner.

Vonglower is right, the Gabriel Knight series is one of the most immersive adventure game series' out there. The right mix of drama, comedy, character and the occult. GK3 is kinda like Overseer in a way. It ended on a cliffhanger, and then the series was canned (GK3 is also one of the hardest adventure games i've ever played ><).

Oh and i'll mention that Jane Jensen was also co-writer with Roberta Williams on King's Quest 6. Looking back, no wonder that was one of my favourites of that series :D

Definitely looking forward to this!

Yeah me too, just wish they'd make up their minds and get it out already... In my opinion they shouldn't do previews and trailers until the damn things are ready... I'm glad I didn't know a year ago that it was suppose to be out in a couple of months, just to get short changed and told that it wasn't going to come out for another year after that... I would have been sooo pissed...

Then you´ve got a reason to be pissed now. At least I am.
What a bad coincidence a new fix was requested on the same day publisher DTP/Anaconda put out some really annoying news.
Like I said a while back games from DTP/Anaconda don´t get cancelled or put on hold which is still absolutely true BUT... they made a press news which says that they´ ve exchanged the developing team. Actually Jane Jensen worked together with a unknown company named Tonuzaba ( from Hungary), it seems like DTP and Jane realized the team was not able to bring Janes vision to life the way they wanted them to ( must have been quite some stress behind the scenes). Now the company wizarbox ( who have developed another game for DTP recently) will continue the work with Jane, because of that exchange Gray Matter will be released in 2009
Nothing about the game will be changed, it´s exactly what it was before and the stuff that was finished until today will still be used without exception . The release is SURE, but still this really sucks
I recently had a chance to send Jane ( via DTP)a bunch of questions for our adventure site, I did that like 2 months ago, about 1 month ago we were informed that Jane was finished with answering my questions, BUT we still haven´t seen the answers from DTP .
In that interview I asked some questions about Gray matter ( actually more about Gabriel Knight, the current adventure situation, FMV games ( Tex was mentioned in one of the questions by the way) her writing etc. , I´m pretty sure I know why we didn´t get the interview from DTP, because of my questions about the release date of GM and the general state of the game. Well but now the news is out and we should receive the interview in the next days. Beside our German transcription I will publish the original English version aswell, so all of you who are interested will be able to read it aswell. ( I´ll give you the link when it´s online).
Did I mention this whole situation freakin´ sucks?

You've got to be kidding me...

Any chance we can flood them with Protesting emails or something and make them rethink their actions??? lol

This is exactly what I've said about games and movies... They shouldn't release info like trailers and whatnot without the thing being ready...
I have no problem with companies building anticipation for their products, but releasing the Trailer and then waiting a couple months before releasing the product... But to wet people's mouths with this and then not give them the drink for 2 years Plus some, just isn't right...

The information on this game should never have been released in the first place...

Bastards...
