The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it

Just saw UP!

By far one of the best animated films I've seen. Up there with Coraline, and Finding Nemo.

It was touching too. My wife cried 3 times. Its one of those movies that would appeal to all ages and is really funny as well.

Anybody else see it?

Just watched My Bloody Valentine 3d. This may seem obvious, but it's not a good idea to watch a movie with 3d glasses on while playing 2d games on the computer. Kinda strains the eyes.

That said, the movie wasn't awful. It wasn't scary, and was just about an hour and thirty minutes of violence, but it wasn't awful. In fact, now that I think about it, this movie was better than most of the recent Jason, Freddy or Michael Myers movies.

Just watched Seraphim Falls. If you haven't heard of it, it's a cat and mouse western flick with Liam Neeson chasing Pierce Brosnan across the desert. Most of the movie is pretty gritty and realistic until it gets strangely artistic as the main characters start running into the same seemingly random people in the middle of nowhere.

The movie is a bit strange to watch simply because you've got both Pierce and Liam talking in deep, throaty accents in attempts to sound American. Still, interesting movie. The ending was a bit unexpected, a bit artistic, but it fit.

Just saw the movie Fireproof.

Great for people thinking of getting married or who are married...
so long as you can get past the heavy religious overtones.

Was very thoughtful and inspiring... not for everyone though.

Just got through the new Wolverine movie, and it actually didn't suck! Lots and lots of action, superheros, and it all leads into the first X men movie. Pretty good, says I.

Not really a film, but exciting like one of those great gangsterfilms: A 1 1/2 hour documentary about Frank Sinatra and his connections to the Mafia. Very interesting.

Went and saw Transformers 2 Wednesday night... Great Action film... In some ways it out did the first movie, but in other ways the first movie was still better... I think I prefer when the Characters are strangers to one another... For me it just makes the comedy parts that much more funny...
And I find it better when some of the characters have no clue as to what is happening, where as to sequels the characters already know this or that and are no longer shocked by such things... And when you lose the shock, you lose some of the comedy behind their reactions...

Like Megan Fox for example, in the scene in the garage with the one robot, her reaction wasn't really there at all, the way she handle it, she made it seem like it was almost an everyday occurrence...
I don't want to say too much, I don't want to give anything away with it being a new movie...

But I highly recommend it, it was still a Great Action film, just as the first one was a Great Action film... But I'll have to lean towards the first movie if I were to have to pick a favorite...



They also showed Star Trek as a 2nd Feature, so I stuck around for that... It was good to see again, I was able to detach myself a bit more from the older crew and enjoy the film a bit more... I'm still a bigger fan of the old crew, but I liked the movie a lot more the 2nd time around than I did the first...

I still think most of the characters were way off base, but it is a Good Action film...
Especially Chekov, the guy tried too hard to play the Russian accent... It would have just been better if they had found a Russian to play the part...

I saw Transformers yesterday, too. Lots of action, to be sure.

What did you think of that (supposedly) 2012 Corvette? Personally, I think it looks too much like a show car. It seems a bit gaudy and less sleek than the present model. But it's still pretty amazing.

Oh yeah...The movie was fun, too. And that Megan Fox is really a looker, ain't she?

Megan Fox is indeed hot... She has been number one for the past few months in the lists that they make... As for the Vette, I haven't been that big a fan since they changed the design back in the 70s... I like the really older Vettes... Now they just look kind of like a Ramp...

How about the Twins, what did you think of them??? I thought they were hilarious... Especially near the end when one shot the other in the face...


Did you notice shortly after the college scenes, once they got to Egypt, how Shia's hand was all bandaged up??? He did that in that car accident he had while they were in the middle of filming, when he went out and got drunk one night after work and rolled his truck... Put filming on hold for like 2 weeks I think it was...

Yes, they were indeed. But one could argue that they were funny almost to the point of being a distraction. On the other hand, this is a movie based on a Hasbro toy, so I guess it's appropriate.

Speaking of Hasbro toys, that upcoming GI Joe movie looks pretty cool.

Oh yes, I have been waiting years for a G.I. Joe movie... I'm very excited about that... They are calling it "The Rise Of Cobra", which to me sounds like there are more movies planned...

Yeah I can see where some might see the Twins as just plain Stupid, because they got pretty close to that mark... But it was definitely a good action flick...

Haven't see transformers yet... will get around to it eventually.

Wife made me see He's just not that into you.
Definitely a chick flick... had some ok funny moments. Real good movie for women to see as it is brutally honest about men.


Also saw Paul Blart Mall Cop.
Also had some pretty funny moments. Not the greatest movie in the world. It was one of those movies that was so dumb it was funny. I enjoyed it but some people would probably hate it. Again, one of those turn your brain off movies.

This movie was a thrill ride from start to finish. Right up there with the Bourne Movies.
I've never seen Liem Neeson as a bad ass, and he plays the part well.
Must see for any action film star. This movie will not disappoint.

Agreed! Oh my fricken goodness that movie was great. From the phone scene with his daughter, to the eventual ending, no movie has ever satisfied me the way this one has when it comes to "badasse'dness".

Wife just rented Taken; will watch it tonight or tomorrow. Heard it was really good.
