The Walking Dead...

I have to agree with Baf on this one.

Shane is a douch, and I think he will be leaving by the end of this season.
That or he is going to be killed.

Although, he does make the show entertaining.

I wonder if we will ever see Merle again.
Matt
No, as much as some of us would like Shane to leave, I don't think he is going anywhere any time soon...

If he does go by way of a Walker, I think it would be poetic if he is bitten by Otis...

well another hits the dusk, poor del.. Now this kid is bothering me, I thought at one stage the kid was going to shot the prisoner in the barn.

Does anything think del dying is the kids fault.

I do.

He sure feels guilty about it.

I was mad when Dale was killed.
I liked him and he was the only rational/civilized person left.

That zombie never would have been free of the mud if the kid didn't pester him.

He could have shot him then and there too.

Whose bike was that btw?
Matt
looking at the kids face he looks innocent, but I think now he is a little $#it. Maybe he was innocent before & seeing the world like it is has made him that way.

To answer the question of the Bike, that is Daryl's bike... Not completely sure when he picked it up, but he has had it for awhile now...

And so dies the Voice Of Reason... RIP Dale, you will be sorely missed by some... Was really hoping for a big showdown between him and Shane...
As for Carl, yeah he definitely feels responsible for what has happened to Dale... You can tell when he looks at the dead Walker and then dives into Lori for comfort... This will definitely come to light soon too... He will confess to someone...

According to scenes for the next show, Hershel moves them into the house and Rick gives Carl a gun...

So who will rise up and assume Dale's role of The Voice Of Reason??? Someone has to, you know it...
Andrea is going to feel this loss, I just know it... Her whole "I Don't Care" Bad Girl attitude is going to be heavily softened by this...

I'm curious as to when Walkers started Ambushing people??? First he splits open the cow, but leaves it alive enough to make noise and draw Dale in, then he circles around and hides so he can sneak up on Dale from behind to catch him off guard... Did anyone else think that strange???
Normally the Walker should have been sitting there mealing on the cow... I mean why would he get up and leave such a great food source???

So what is everyone's thoughts in regards to Randell??? The punk they got chained up...
I was thinking that he could be persuaded stay and become part of the group, up until he started talking to Carl the way he did... Now I'm not so sure...

Rick was ready to shoot him, so what was the point in ripping him off that fence, saving him, and then wasting resources having Hershel repair his leg...

At this point I have to agree with Dale... Their Group IS Broken...

Only a couple episodes left... Hershel was talking about stocking the Basement in case they need to barricade themselves for a few days... Did anyone else immediately think of the original Night of the Living Dead???

"the motor bike" doesn't anyone else remember dale riding it to the farm.
Lynne

Daryl road it to the farm, not Dale... Dale was the driver of the RV...

Yeah Daryl picked it up not long after they left the Camp, but I can't remember exactly when... I do remember him getting Merle's Antibiotics out of the saddlebag when T-Dog cut his arm... So he may have even had it in the Camp... The Motorcycle might have belonged to Merle...

Here's the deal... Jeffrey DeMunn asked to be written off the show because Frank got canned/budget cut laid off/left.

I for one couldn't be happier. His acting was awful, and I totally did not want to see the sexual relationship between Dale and Andrea that they shared in the comic cause that would make me all kinds of barf, (as if the Andrea & Shane hookup wasn't disgusting enough).

I was kind of shocked at Carl's change, up until the few episodes, he was a very well rounded character. My guess is that they are plotting his mindset up to do what he is going to do in the new few episodes (IF they follow the comic) I'm being vague on purpose yes. Spoilerific.

The stuck zombie scene was so smartly executed, I tip my hat, well done.

my mistake wrong "D". Isuppose I had dale on my mind & typed dale instead daryl.

I was watching S1 EP3 last night which is just before they travelled back to get daryl's brother & the bike is sitting in the camp.

Even if Dale had stayed, I'm not so sure they would have followed the comic in regards to a sexual relationship between Andrea and Dale... I just see more of a Father-Daughter relationship there...
His acting wasn't the best, but I still liked having the Rival to Shane... Whoever they have step into this position, I'm just not sure if it will be or feel the same...

The world is now a Dark place and it will raise dark people... Carl's parents are doing their best to prevent this and they are losing... Eventually they'll have to acknowledge this and deal with it accordingly in one way or another... But you can't lock the kid in a closet with Dr. Seuss books and say, "We'll come get you in 10 years"...

Personally I think that it is a disease that Everyone has and when you die, no matter how, you end up turning, unless of course your brain is damaged in someway, be it shot or butchered or whatnot...
How come you asked about Shane and not Randal??? Because Randal died without being bit and he turned as well, almost killed Daryl and Glenn in fact... I'm glad he is dead, but I really wish he had been bitten by Otis...
Carl was a helluva shot though, wasn't he??? I wonder if Rick will get a chance to explain what went down, because as he was about to he looked around and saw all the walkers, so that conversation isn't going to happen out there in there field...

But with Daryl seeing Randal's neck broken like that, he'll be able to back up Rick's story about Shane setting it all up to possible take Rick out...

I'm not so sure that Shane was going to kill Rick, I think he took him to the field so that Rick would kill him instead... He had to know that his plan would never have been believed...

Well as I said I'm glad he is dead, but I'm not sure it will be a good thing for the show... Rick and Shane butting heads and each pulling for control was a huge part of the storyline here... With Shane gone just about everyone will buckle to Rick's will... Daryl might raise a stink now and again, but the tension that was there between Rick and Shane just won't be there with anyone else...

Only one episode left, next week is the Season Finale... Not sure what they have planned for Season 3... Gonna end up meeting up with another group I think, because we're gonna need that Alpha Male battle that we had with Rick and Shane...

That's what make shows good... In Spartacus we have Spartacus and Crixus, in TrueBlood you have Bill and Eric, etc... You need that Alpha Male struggle in shows such as these...

yes I was wondering if that walker near the tree was randall, as the video is a download at times you miss things as its not that perfect video.

I think since lori was finally nice to him he thinks he has a chance if rick wasn't in the picture.
Lynne

Sorry, but I have to do this....

I told you he was going to die.

As far as why they turned without being bit, I think it wasn't always that way.
I think the virus mutated.

Also, guaranteed they are going to meet with Randall's group in the next season and it will probably get ugly. I am betting Merle is with them too which is going to be a real struggle for Daryl. He is going to have to chose. Also, I don't think the other group is going to take too kindly to our main group especially when they find out how their men were killed and how they left Merle on the building. It would definitely make for a good Season 3.

As for the finale.... i say bloodbath. I think the only people making it out of Hershel's group is going to be Glen's g/f and possibly Hershel... everyone else will die. T-bone might die too. I think they are going to use this as an opportunity to weed out unnecessary characters.

It is going to be an intense finale and I am surprised that Season 2 is starting to pan out as better than Season 1... especially with what we have in store for the finale.
