The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it
Saw 2 films
Saw 3d and Silence of the Lambs.
Saw 3d was a fitting end to the series... Can't say much without spoilers.
Lets just say someone is finally back. Someone that we never knew what quite happened to them. The movies come full circle. Not the best saw in terms of story, but definitely one of the goriest. 6 was pretty gory too. They claim it is the end of the series, and it should be. I just hope no one tries to revive it, because the story is starting to come apart at the seems. The first movie was a masterpiece in horror, that you didn't quite appreciate until the end hit you. The rest of them just continued the story. I think it could have been finished at number 4 with the same idea they had in this one. The 3d wasn't necessary either for this. In the end, not spectacular, but entertaining and a fitting end.
Silence of the Lambs.
This movie was good, but I think it would have been better had I seen it in 1991. I think it is because of all the crime shows and serial killer movies nowadays. Lectre is chilling and owns the short screen time he had... and the chemistry between Foster and him is not something you see done so well very often. The movie is disturbing, but in a psychological kind of way. I am sure back when it came out, though, that the gore was something else. I think I have been a bit desensitized to gore after all the horror flicks I have seen. Anyway, psychologically a masterpiece, but didn't affect me the way it should have or would have back then because I have seen this type of thing too many times.... just not done so well.

Wow, you're just now seeing Silence Of The Lambs... lol
Yes, very good movie indeed... Hannibal was okay, but for some reason Foster didn't do Hannibal... It's hard for me to see Sequels like that when the person from the first film doesn't do the 2nd and they try to use someone else to play the same role, it just doesn't work for me usually... Seeing Ray Liotta eat his own brains was good though... lol Don't worry I won't spoil any thing else from it... It's still a decent movie, but like I said with them changing from Foster to Julianne Moore, it would have been better had they made it a different character or something...

Saw Legion... Interesting movie... IF you like those movie where the Angels descend from Heaven and aren't all peaceful and loving and stuff, then this movie is for you... Or if you just like Supernatural creatures trying to kill a group of people held up in a diner then this movie is for you...
Apparently God has lost his faith in his creation of Man and sends his Angels to wipe out mankind... But the Right hand of God stands against him and defends the children he was taught to love... Decent action and semi-horror flick...

Saw five movies over the long Thanksgiving (USA) weekend.
1. Unstoppable with Denzel Eashington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson (one of my favs). Fantastic movie, edge of your seat tension; high flying action and an awesome ending.
2. Date Night - very funny movie, but I thought the 4 way conversation about half way through was a bit gross and unnecessary to accomplish its goal. Still, I recommend it for lots of laughs.
3. Iron Man 2 was quite decent and almost as good as the first.
4. Robin Hood with Russel Crowe was a good movie but it dragged on for a while. The ending was really good and maybe we will see him return as the infamous rebber-from-the-rich-and-give-to-the-poor bandit.
5. The Last Airbender was another good effort by Shaymalan but left us yawning. The story was extremely interesting, as most of his movies are, but lack pizzazz and left you wondering if they will come out with a sequel you may not want to see anyway.

Saw the Expendables... Great Action Movie... But it really shouldn't have been advertised as the 3 greats doing a movie together... Arnold and Bruce didn't even get their names in the Credits for the Cameo Appearances they gave to the film... Not even in the Special Thanks section...
Okay they were all on screen and in the same shot together, BFD... I want a movie kind of like RED, where an old team is brought back together to complete a mission of some kind and in that team you have, Bruce, Arnold, Sly, Freeman, Snipes or Samuel L. Jackson {or both}, maybe Devito to add to the comedy, and maybe one or two others, maybe throw Shatner in there to make the others look that much better, he can be the one the team who ends up dying..lol... All having an Equal role in the film...
Also saw Jonah Hex... Not a bad movie for taking us back to the Civil War... I had no idea that Jonah Hex was originally a Comic... Since I have no idea how the Comic went I can't compare the 2... All I can say is that Jonah Hex is marked for life and he becomes a Bounty Hunter trying to find his mortal enemy and repay him for the pain he has caused him... It was okay, but in no way a blockbuster...
Megan Fox was fun to look at, but that's about all she is good for anymore, shame she thinks she has more talent than her looks... If she doesn't do more with those looks she is going to find herself in B-Movies...

I like your idea baf, but you have to have Segal, Van Dam, and Chuck Norris in there too.
Would have been cool to have Charles Bronson too, as one of the original greats. Unfortunately he is no longer with us and would be too old if he was. Hell, throw Clint Eastwood in there too.
And if you had Shatner, he shouldn't be part of the team. He should be the villain. He would be great. DeVito would be good as the villain too.

I'll go along with Norris, but I don't really like the other 2... They can play bad guys and get killed, I wouldn't mind that... lol
Did you know that Segal is a real New Orleans Police Officer??? Has been for almost 20 years...
No Eastwood will be the Director, he doesn't do much acting anymore...

Just watched that MacGruber... I've seen dumber, but not many, that's all I'll say...
Predators was a good movie... Probably the best one since Predators 2... Nice action, good special effects and decent acting, compared to the last 2 Predator movies, especially that Requiem... If you liked the first couple of Predator movies but got turned off by the last one or two, then this should bring you back as a fan...

I would have liked The Expendables if the special effects weren't so awful. I mean it seems as though they spent all of their money on that cast and realized they only had a few dollars left. Explosions were half and half, part awesome real explosions, part horrible CG explosions with awful destruction effects. Also, I have to wonder how often in the filming of the movie did Jason Stathom do the knife throw motion without a knife to throw, knowing that someone on the production team hoped that the look and the sound effect added in later would make it look awesome.
Also the story was bad and the action was okay. It felt like the kind of movie that would've been better if it was released in the 90's.
I also watched Prince of Persia. Overall it was one of the best video game based movies, though that doesn't say much as almost all video game based movies are awful. Maybe it's because the lead actor and the lead actress both look American and sound British. Maybe it's because the story was badly written. Ah well, the action scenes were sometimes fun, and when the prince actually had the dagger of time and used it, that was cool too.
And I watched Sudden Impact with Clint Eastwood. A detective movie back when the cause and solution to every crime is a gun. It all becomes clear at the end of the film. The bad guys look like they're about to win and suddenly they freeze in their tracks. They've seen something. A symbol of their inevitable doom. In the distance there is a single silhoutte against the darkness, and in his hand he clutches a single gun. When Dirty Harry measures out the justice he dispenses, he weighs only lead.

Totally deserved it's acadamy award for most dramatic juice drinking scene. Seriously though, this movie is awesome. Warning labels are placed on copies of this movie that if you place it next to other lesser movies, the other movies will implode. The director has a strange infatuation with the camera technicque where you've got the panning and all that and the incremental zoom ins and outs. The camera will be doing it's normal thing and suddenly it'll zoom in, just slightly. Like 300 did, except without slow motion.
Assault on Precent 13, the original version by John Carpenter
This is kinda funny, because precent that they go to is labeled as Precent 9 of Division 13. I suppose complete accuracy would be nice, but when you've got a movie about a bunch of crazed teenage hoodlums who are crazed and hoodlums for seemingly no reason at all, fighting for vengeance over their fallen comrade using pilfered military weapons with silencers, maybe the expectations shouldn't be so high. Still, better then it's eventual remake.
Wait a second...at the beginning of Assault on Precent 13 there are four main hoodlums introduced. One of them is killed, thusly fueling the flames of violence, but then the other three disappear admist the bodies of the other gangsters that surround them, whose only existance was to be filled with lead. Obviously I should be watching more civilized 70's films. Like The Warriors. Or Tron.
