Weird dream...
I had the strangest dream last night... the world was about to end... actually, most of the planet had been engulfed by a huge fireball of some sort and it was only a matter of time before it struck where I live and so we were all being told to evacuate. We all had to catch a train to get as far away from the carnage as possible, and I was right at the train station but I deliberately missed the last train out of town so that I could run back home and grab my Tex Murphy games in their boxes to save them.
Actually, the dream was much longer than that. It actually went for, well, what felt like 2 hours, and panned out like a movie, with a beginning, and story and an ending (then ending is a little fuzzy) but man iut was an amazing adventure!
I am now a little concerned about my brain's interpretation of my committment to the Tex Murphy games... am I a little whack!?

No, Cub, you are NOT a little whack. That's the good news. The bad news? You have completely lost it!
Actually, you needed the Tex Murphy games so you could play them one last time and figure out how to save the real world. Good thinking!

"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
Perhaps you see Tex Murphy on the brink of destruction, that one false move may spin Tex into total obscurity? Perhaps now is the time to act, and save Tex from such destruction! Alas, that is the woe of dreams! Some meaningless, some treacherous in their deceiptful projections! So the only advice I can give is this...when a giant ball of fire comes to this planet, save yourself!

Very interesting analysis, Vracar.
I am the kind of person that has enough trouble tackling priorities now, let alone when faced with total destruction. You know what was funny though, I remember thinking to myself in the dream: "It's okay if mine get destroyed, I will just get another copy off Jim... oh wait, Detroit was blown up a week ago!"
Sorry Jim.
I am sure you made it out in time, WITH your Tex Murphy memorabelia in tact!

Thanks Todd,
I have been itchin to do some more radio theatre now that I have the ability to do some really nice 5.1 surround work. However, it will have to remain on the backburner for a little while longer... at least until I have a chance to complete some of my other client projects.
I had another dream last night, but it was far less pleasant... apart from the fact that I was going out with Jessica Alba.

Ok, just to add some fun, I thought I'd drag up a post from the past. The above post if from Cubase (who else (well, there's Jim, Jen, Fred. . .)). It's from July of 2005. It's on page 21 of the posts. Just a little nostalgia, I suppose.Cubase wrote:I had the strangest dream last night... the world was about to end... actually, most of the planet had been engulfed by a huge fireball of some sort and it was only a matter of time before it struck where I live and so we were all being told to evacuate. OMG! Is it cheating to recycle posts from the past?!?!
Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
I've had similar dreams. I think its in the mind of every human to assume that sometime in their life the world is going to revert to chaos. Maybe its just natural to assume that there is no escape from anarchy and we're all wired to think "what'd happen if the world ended tomorrow" don't worry we all do it cub
Hahah yeah true. I think the Tex Murphy games and their boxes are pretty high on my "things to grab in case of evacuation" list.
Especially seeing as nowadays there are more and more cases of online sales of the games where sellers have flogged them off without all the content (missing CDs, etc.)
