A.G.GEIGER
So here I am watching "The Big Sleep" for the first time, and one of the characters name is A.G.Geiger - a name which rung a little bell - made me think of what Tex says when you observe the terrarium in Ching's library: "There is a geigger in the terrarium!" ~ Sorry for being so random, it's late and Im ambitious

Wasn't a geiger one of those nasty little buggers that you couldn't buy at the electronics shop in Pandora too? They're like little monsters that will eat anything?
I had a laugh at my new favorite Tex line the other day, on a quick side note ...
Rook: Which reminds me? Where is the money you owe me?
Tex: Right here in my pocket. Yes siree my pocket's crammed full of cash. I could hardly walk over here.

I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Geiger makes me think of the famous artist H.R. Giger who worked on the film Alien and so on.

Also a "Geiger counter" is a device with which you can measure the radiation level:

If you are a film buff you should remember seeing one in the James Bond movie "Dr. No".

Dr. No was the first significant JB movie although not the first. The old Casino Royale with David Niven was the first full-length JB movie.
BTW, the latest JB movie - Casino Royale - is nothing short of fantastic. David Craig makes a super Bond and I look forward to many more as the infamous 007.

"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
I don't know, why you mentioned this now, since I only pointed out that the Geiger counter was featured in Dr. No ... - even so, this is not correct, although many people believe this and say so.Jim the old guy wrote:Dr. No was the first significant JB movie although not the first. Dr. No which entered theaters in 1962 was indeed the very first James Bond movie. The old Casino Royale with Peter Sellers and Woody Allen was made later in 1967 as a spoof of the "serious" James Bond films before.
