And then there were none

Anyone play this yet?

I know its an older game but I ran across this and started playing it this week. So far not too bad...
no but I can tell you who did it in the book. I think in the film version it was someone different
Actually that film has been re-done many times (2-4 I think).

Some films also have different vilians.

The film has been called "ten little indians", And then their were none, ten little sailor boys. and so on....
Yeah - I have played that one all the way through. It took me a while though to get used to where the different people's rooms were located, but it was actually a pretty decent game.

I did, however, find a few flaws throughout the game and one of them is pretty major. That might be a spoiler to you, so I will write it in a quote box that requires highlighting in order to read it. Then you can decide if you want to read it or not ;)
Possible spoiler here ...

During the game you will be able to see a dead person lying in a bed even though the person storywise is still alive
One thing though ... it's a good thing the main character could run because otherwise it would have been a long game. The island does have many screens to pass through when searching around for various items :)

Other than that I actually enjoyed the game with nice puzzles - I kinda got the Cruise For A Corpse feeling when playing this game. In that game you should do some specific things in order for the clock to tick 10 minutes forward and it's kinda the same here in order for each murder to happen :)

McD. Its original title was far more unprintable. I collect old agatha christie books and have one of the early ones of this. and then there were none is a far better title
As a rule I'm opposed to the social etiquette of Never Mentioning Words Even When Trying To Describe The Word Itself.

It's just a word, by itself it is meaningless and harmless. Meaning in words are given by the person uttering them.

The original title was Ten Little Niggers, later changed to Ten Little Indians and then finally, to fit with the modern day political correctness - And Then There Were None.

(Also, no, I am not a racist nor do I endorse racism in any way, shape or form. I just hate it when words are avoided at all costs. In itself, it's just a word. What it represents, the history of it, the meaning of it and everything else is secondary. In and of itself, however, it is perfectly harmless.)
Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!

Sadly i could not afford the game but heared alot of it perhaps ill find it one day in the budget binn.

Nicely put fred.

here in holand they changed the name of a candy item just becouse some peaple might get ofended with it. witch is in my opionin stange thing to do afther so long a time it being knows as the old name.

Also i have a book by rex stout. Too many Cooks. the book was written in the 40 ties and rather then chaning the entire book by edeting out all the racial inuendoes they left the book as is. with a short introduction stating that even thought our vieuws have changed now when the book was written it was the vieuws of that time and being a big part of the book itself they decided to leave it in and let the reader see it as it was intended a book of fiction.

I hope i make some sence what im trying to say is history has been and one chould not be trying to change it just becouse it would make u feel better. Most things where excepted at one time as being the right thing to do. like agatha cristie books.

Like i am not alowed to tell a colored person that he is black but the black person can tell me im blind. No thats no joke a policeman actualy told me that afther i was jelled at by that kid for blind dude i called him blackie and his dad called the cops on me. I was only a teen then anyways. I told the cop so why the heck not i am blind as a back and he is black why can he use my eyesigt to ofend me but i cant use his color on him.

Anyways i got a big slap on the wrist by the cop and the other person not.

I do not even mind it but one can take it too far to try and chield peaple and so on.

Ohh dear im ranting OK i hope to find the game one day and looks like a nice game thanks all for charing. Hmm yep i still find it silly to change a name just becouse someone might get ofended if that is what we are going for we cant even bring the news anymore becouse it might ofend me.
Live is too short to waste it make sure its with the one u love !

Did you know, in Great Britain, they changed "Bah Bah Black Sheep" to "Bah Bah Rainbow Sheep"?

To put it their way, what a load of bollocks.

"Bah Bah [Insert Racially Correct Name] Sheep"

I think that fills in the blanks. Problem solved :D
yeah it's all political correctness gone mad. I heard at first it changed to ba ba green sheep. Now they just don't sing it anymore.

I used to love noddy and the gollywog. I can't remember any of the stories so not too sure why he's banned but as a really young kid my gran bought me a doll of the gollywog and he was my favourite character. I thought he was really cool.

Amazed Michel about that story. it just goes to show that some people still get treated unfairly. Racism really isn't a big thing here, certainly not with the people I know.
It gets worse here in the UK. Councils are taking it upon themselves to rename Christmas as "Winterval" in case they upset the poor little downtrodden ethnic minorities

These "minorities" don't actually care about it, it's just the councils who are so afraid of being threatened with legal action for whatever reason. Frankly I think the whole racism thing has got out of hand. People act as if you shouldn't notice whether someone's black or white, yet it is one of the most obvious physical characteristics about someone - I don't hear people screaming "sizeism!" when they're described as tall. For me, racism is groundless discrimination of someone with respect to rights/opportunities depending on their skin colour, not just noticing that they have a different skin colour.
Well spoken, marinedalek.

By the way, is your nick in any way related to the little peppershaker-shaped robots that go "Ex-TER-mi-NATE!!" ? :D

That it is :D I'm a big Doctor Who fan, have been since I was old enough to look at a television set.
Got hooked by a friend of mine around the time of the Fourth Doctor myself. The one with the abnormally large scarf in any case. Then came a long period of nothing, and now I'm watching the 2005 revamp of the series and having a blast!

Ex-ter-mi-nate! EX-TEEER-MI-NAAATE!!

-Fred

PS: Dalek, take a look at my latest entry to the Tex-competition :D You'll get the reference surely!

:D Yep, I got it - I'm just wondering how many other people will! More than before 2005 in anycase...
