I don't know how many of you, like me, are fans of both Star Trek TNG and Star Wars, but this short film (7 minutes) is a hoot! They made it by splicing footage from both sources. . .

I saw that a while back. Really good stuff. Must have taken a lot of time and effort to pull it off. A million claps of the hand to whoever did it.

Rumor has it that George Lucas is announcing Star Wars 7 in the next few days. But I'm a little skeptic as I heard right from George Lucas on TV that he was going to make a Star Wars TV show.
I'm hoping we get Episode 7! I can't be fucked watching a big budget TV show.. too many adverts would ruin the Immersion.
As for star trek.. Star Trek Online FTW! It is looking Damn good, almost like every trekie's dream. Star Wars Galaxies was by far the biggest load of crap so it looks like Star Trek is going to win this round in the Video Game war. (I don't like that new Star Wars game one bit due to my hatred of any game featuring more than 3 lightsaber wielding characters at a time - so basically an over population of Jedi.. because those games SUCK)
Meanwhile that film was nicely done except that you can see where they have used 3D models and that it has a lot of seams. You can quite easily remove the seams now with After Effects. (you can blur the edges of pixelated borders so they look proper)
Nice find btw.

I hate the word 'immersion'. Probably because a certain gaming company turned it into a buzzword for shiny graphics and no content.

According to an article I read yesterday there are not supposed to be any more Star Wars movies.

Well done clip, but I wish the video editor had left the conflict at a draw. Star Trek was always about brains saving the day, while Star Wars was about harnessing inner peace and strength of spirit, brains be darned. That's like a baseball and basketball team challenging one another, and each trying to play its own sport during the match.

Today the announced the new Star Wars TV show. Looks like the Press got it wrong again lol. I was right because I heard it from GL on TV when Episode 3 came out in Australia.
Also you don't mean Game Company.. You mean Todd Howard, the lying son of a bitch used that word all the time to over hype Oblivion. It looks like we're in for the same crap with Fallout 3.

(because he recently posted a blog full of "We are teh best!")
