Does anyone have any experience running the Mac version of UAKM on a modern, Intel iMac? I'm considering getting a copy, but I'm not sure it will work... Does anyone have any insight?

Its funny I actually first got the game running in dosbox on a mac. It felt strange running an old dos game on a mac. I had printed out the config file for Pandora and UAKM after I got it working but I don't know where I put them. I have a Dell laptop right now because it was required for college but I plan on picking up a mac down the road (I miss OS X). If I ever find those papers I'll post some info. I plan on putting an OSX classics install guide on my blog but that won't be until I get a mac again.

Hello, my first post on the board.

I'm a Mac user, have a MacBook Core Duo 1.8ghz, 2Gb Ram, and running OS 10.4.11. I have DOSBox 0.72 running, and I'm trying to play UAKM. Unfortunately, the video is snail-slow, the audio hesitates, pops and is really stutter-y. Sometimes the video plays okay, sometimes it's impossible. I made ISOs of my CDs and load them thinking that maybe that will help it work faster, but there's no change.

Anyone out there who are Mac users figure out how to make UAKM play smoothly in DOSBox on the Mac?

I had a PC that was 1.8 Ghz and I couldn't play UAKM properly until I bought my new computer, which is over 3 Ghz. I know that doesn't help much.

Try pressing increasing the emulation speed and using frame skip. I can't tell you what keys do that, since I only know the PC ones.

Try downloading the "dosbox.conf" file from Nilo's Site and replace the default one inside your DOSBox-0.72 directory. It may help.
