I sure do miss Jen! Haven't seen a post from her in a while. Hope everything is OK.

I asked her in a PM some days ago. And I can assure you she is still alive. She's just feeling a little under the weather. Or to quote Jen herself - sick as a dog.

She'll be back better than ever once she's feeling well again I'm sure :)

Yes, I was sick as a dog, and it was taking an insanely long time with little improvement, and then I had a relaspe. I kept wondering why I wasn't getting any better. Pneumonia. Lucky me.

So I haven't done more than poke on recently.
I still feel pretty crappy, and all I want to do is eat and sleep. So there you have it.

Off to bed now.
Where it's a cough-fest.

I been taking care of sick gf all of last week she could not even shower herself she was so sick. In any case her thanks is giving me the bug now so she is back at work and im feeling ill ohh well u take the good with the bad.

Hope you're better soon. My boss had that last year; it looks pretty exhausting.

Anyone know the basis for the expression "Sick as a dog?"

Dogs seem to be amazingly resilient and seldom 'sick as a dog,' though dogs they may be.
While true that dogs rarely get sick and are pretty resilient as you say, they can and will eat mostly anything. Also, in british english the term 'sick' means 'to vomit'. Hence the expression - to puke like a dog.

Which all dog-people know can be pretty darn messy.
