The Masque of the Red Death is finished!
Some of you saw the preliminary version which was for the University submission... but the film has evolved significantly since then in preparation for the international scene.
After many more post production processes such as special effects, paint & rotoscoping, a complete re-do of the sound design, more music, grading and re-grading of colour scheme and a new set of opening and closing credits sequences, we were finally able to lock it all off today. The sound was actually re-don because the hard disk which has the ProTools sessions failed, so we decided to take the Pc route and mix in Cubase (not me, the audio editing software I am apparently named after lol).
And for those of you who don't know, our very own Tex Murphy maestro Matt Heider did the music.
I am currently in the process of transcoding the file for online viewing, at which point I will upload it and post the URL where you can find it... this will be some stage next week.
Also, if anyone is interested in a copy of the film on DVD I will be able to do this for the price of postage. But won't have the copies ready for another few weeks.
Watch this space!
-Cub. =o)
P.S. For those of you who can make it to Sydney (or for those lucky enough to live here already)... here are the details for the screening:
