Vote for Hillary for 2008!
We need to make the part in the Pandora Directive true where Tex says Hillary is the president who had to be an alien after playing Archie's vidphone message to give the game credibility. Wouldnt it be awesome to have the creators of Tex actually predict something like this true for the future in one of their games?
This country isn't ready for a president who cries on TV... I'm not sexist or racist, but I just don't think the country is ready for either a Woman President or a Black President... And we don't need Republicans back in the White House, so either way this country is screwed...
Dems get back into the white house and they will most likely pull the troops out of the middle east way to quickly, letting the rebels file back into the cities and ruin what progress we have made over there...
Reps stay in the white house and they are going to keep the troops over there killing any chance we have at a economical bounce back...
This country is headed for a downward spiral and there is very little to be done to keep it from happening...
Canada is looking pretty good right about now...
Another Clinton is something we really don't need back in the white house... She wasn't even strong enough to divorce a cheating husband, how can we expect her to be strong enough to lead a country...
Just my opinion on the Politics currently plaguing the USA...

Of course you'll assume that and comment on that, but yet you leave the comment about Hillary alone...
Why is it people pick and choose whatever they want to make their argument, but refuse to use the whole comment??? Instead you pick it apart until it suits your needs...
I'm not saying the man can't do the job, and I'm not saying he isn't the best qualified for the position out of the selected suiters... I just know from the streets I grew up on alone, let alone the rest of the country, that this country isn't ready for it... And they proved by having to add Secret Service to protect him so early, that wasn't even done when Jackson ran for president...
There will be so many assassination attempts on Obama that he'll never be able to leave the white house if he were to win...
It has nothing to do with Racism, it has to do with Facts... Me personally, I could care less what type of president we have as long as they get the job done... I'm speaking about my knowledge of the general citizens of this country...
So you jump to your conclusions all you want, all it does is strengthen my opinion about how people think in general...
and you sir, sicken me to no end.
Your Point??? I'm not here for a Popularity contest...
I got disliked the moment I started posting on this message board... For this comment or that comment, for my avatar {don't really understand that one, but hey whatever}...
If it makes people feel better to scream and yell at me on some message board, then at least I know I'm helping people vent their stress and frustration out on something other than their children or spouse...
Just because you add the tag "Im not a racist" Doesn't make it so.
Yes it does make it so, because I know exactly what I am... I also know that I've sat in places of business and have listen to people of all races say the same words... People of the same race as the Candidate have expressed their concerns just as I've stated here... So I guess that makes them "Self-Haters" and such???
I'm just focused on Obama, because that is the Very Small piece of my post you decided to single out... I have the same point of views for the Female Candidate and have heard the similar expressed opinions from other females concerning Mrs. Clinton...

The three people running for president are qualified to sit in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The current occupant shows how little talent and ability are needed to do the job. Nilo comes to mind.
Come January 2009, USA will begin a program of renewal led by a non GOP government. The next president will have major issues to deal with, and can be expected to handle them in ways that will improve the country. USA is ready for anything. The people's government led by honest, capable and competent people will overcome the utter failures of the current administration. It will take a long time and hard effort to fix the problems left behind by the current administration, but the repairs can and will be done. Visit Canada all one wants, it is a beautiful place.
USA troops are coming home. The war is over in Iraq. (Let us face the truth, USA gets to describe victory when USA wants. So if it makes USA feel good; USA can simply declare victory before USA brings the troops home.) The occupation of Iraq is a dismal failure and a total disaster. (Again progress being defined by USA means little to the people of Iraq.) When USA pulls out the people of Iraq will take over issues of running Iraq. (If one is concerned with Iran, USA can tell Iran that should Iran want to make mischief, USA will step back and let Israel sort out the next misunderstanding.) "Under A Killing Moon" introduction in Tex's office reference.
As for cheating spouses, can it not be seen as a sign of inner strength to be willing to accept a person's failures as well as his successes? One does take a vow, "For better and for worse, through sickness and health...". One swears to uphold the Constitution.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with him. The problem is not on the candidate, rather on those who can't get past the 'Woman' or 'Black' issue. Instead of 'candidates' they are always tagged as 'the first woman/black to get to the white house'. I do think, however, that Obama is doing a better job of trying to make people look past his being 'Black', because people loose focus on whatever qualities he may or may not have; Hillary seems to be doing the opposite, crying out for the moms around the country to sympathise.freepizza wrote:This country isn't ready for a president who cries on TV... I think Mississipi proves my point. The Black community voted for Obama, the white women voted for Hillary. They didn't care which one would do the best for the job without the skin and gender factor. They should consider them both as simple brains connected to something to hold the brains and try to get what they want for the future.
If things get too messy there at the U.S., you can always come here, our economy is doing great, but you have to put up with our 'every-day-is-I-won-the-election-speech-day' president. Thank God he doesn't rule sh*t.
Only you Bafitis could take a harmless idea and twist it into an incendiary topic.
You've taken our little haven and spewed your toxin here.
Fred and Travis both tried to advise you, and you ignored them.
You seem not to realize that we are a group of friends, almost family here, and you insist on stirring up trouble and bad feelings.

This has gone off topic. I'm not voting based on politics. I'm voting based on Tex!

I'm not voting for Hilary for one reason:
Back during the hot coffee incident, she said, "Video games are worse than cigarettes and alcohol."
I think a woman president or a black president would be great, it's not like the white guys have done much better. I just don't think Hilary should be the first for the women.
This might be why we tend to want to avoid political discussions on this forum.

I knew this topic was trouble from the name. Although innocent enough by itself, it spiraled out of control, as all political debate does on forums.

I take issue with this statement on a number of points. A - If you add "I'm not sexist or racist" then your trying to hide something. If your not trying to hide something (i.e. - personal politics), then why even say the statement to begin with because you gotta know that people have already made their mind up about you based on your words anyway. B - To think that having a Republican back in the white house is the most god awful thing we could have right now makes me believe you are an extreme Democrat. If that's your party, then fine, so be it..we all have our own views. But in my opinion Sen. McCain is more than qualified to run this country if in fact he does win the election. C - "I just don't think this country is ready for either a woman president or a black president..." You know what this country is ready for? It's ready for a change....and whether it's a woman president or a black president or an older white guy...doesn't matter, because out of the three potentials, each one of them will do a better damn job than what we've got in office now. That's a fact. Do we have race issues and sexist issues in this country? Absolutely!! Is it gonna change over night..well hell no. But as a whole, people in this country really don't give a damn as long as the economy is up, the education is up and our boys aren't getting killed overseas. Will that change with this election..in my opinion yes. So this country will be ready for a white president or a black president when it comes time for them to be ready. Just like when your playing professional sports...everyone forgets about when you were losing, when you start winning. America will forget about the color of our presidents skin or the gender the president may be when the country starts having an upward spike in progress.
I myself am going to vote for Obama. But if Hillary wins, and she does end up being an alien...everyone in this community will be members of a small elite group that believed in the Tex games and the Pandora in particular which predicted the future. But yanno, still wouldn't be enough for Bill Gates to let Microsoft make another Tex game..."Sorry guys, the fan base just isn't big enough....." Wanker...

It's the last comment that gets you in trouble. You clearly state that the country is screwed if either A) We get a black or a woman president. or B) We get a republican.
It is a racist comment whether you want to see it that way or not. And if you aren't a racist I urge you to make your words much more clear next time. I will not tolerate bigotry of any kind.

Ah, claiming that I abuse people I love because I called you out on a terrible comment, thats a classic.
Just because you add the tag "Im not a racist" Doesn't make it so.
Yes it does make it so,
Oh really!? Is that the way it works? Okay, I'm a bunny rabbit. I'm a rich bunny rabbit with lots of teeth, about a million teeth.
I said it, so that must make it so right?
Sorry this happened to your threat Bjyman. I agree, it would be pretty fun to say that they called it.
