This is a cool thread, I like it. Let's see how long we can avoid the Monkey Island insults :p

Well, it looks like we have three posters here (Jcarnby, Fred and me) who know the famous Zork toast.
I don't know if that's good number or not, but I think it's pretty good and I was curious how widespread this little bit of 'secret' knowledge is in today's modern gaming community.
The Zork toast is a small example of game-cult culture. Zork fans around the world are likely to respond to it - at least up to 'Course you do. Die hards can go all the way.
For those of you aren't familiar with the toast, it comes from the first graphic Zork game that was released in 1993. The whole toast is:

Here's to us...
Who's like us?
Damn few.
And their all dead. (usually use a drawn-out 'all')
Pouring and drinking is done between the lines.

Return to Zork is probably in my top five favorite computer games I've ever played. I have real fond memories of that one. The mazes themselves (the Whispering Woods and Forest of the Spirits) were amazing puzzles.
