Unofficial Tex Murphy

Despite my love for the music of Johnny Cash and music from the 50´s I listen to a lot of oldschool punkbands, and sometimes I have I to get away from all the noise and thats when I put out my Mazzy Star stuff. A wonderful band from the 90s that is really underrated.
Their singer Hope Sandoval is absolutely awesome. Very melancholic and sad music thats simpy beautiful, her voice really has got something that is haunting. Some of the stuff has a really psychedelic side to it, but what the songs got in common is that they´re beautiful ( and they grow and grow and grow the more you listen to them). What about Liz Phair? She's got some very good music as well...there were so many bands from the 90's that I still listen to...Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum...there was actually some good music during that time.

80s and 90s Rocked with bands of all sorts... It was a massive time for music...
