Unofficial Tex Murphy

Assuming there is another Tex game and since the actor Brian Keith is dead. I think the Colonel should be killed off as part of a case Tex investigates. What do you think?

Just because the actor that played him has died doesn't mean the character needs to be killed...

Why not just Have the Colonel send Tex a Postcard like he promised to do in UAKM??? He said he wanted to retired to an Island full of naked women...

Seeing as how the Colonel hasn't played a big part in any of the games past UAKM (and he had a small part in Overseer), I don't see why he necessarily needs to be killed off. Just like Bafitis said, maybe he didn't successfully retire.

I suggest just having another actor do it. Harry Potter did it with Dumbledore, and it's not like the vast majority would notice the change. If there's anything to be learned from XXX and it's sequel, having somebody just say for some reason that some character died, it's just bad.

I really like Brian Keith (and the Colonel) so I prefer to keep a memory of him on a tropical island with all his girls.

Hey, that reminds me of Archie. I wonder if he stayed on the island or did he return to his shop after Jackson Cross was put out of his misery?

I thought in the books he was already dead?

We dont know if he made it to the island. Last we saw he was doing undercover work with Eva Schanzee. I dont think actor replacement would do justice to Brian Keith.

Archie said he was on his way to the Bermuda Triangle... So we could have him swallowed up by the mysteries of that or we can have him return to publish Tex's story of his trip to Roswell...

Even though the alien angle is gone. I think Tex should use Archie to hack into a CIA mainframe.

Just because Archie was a Nerd when it came to the Alien stuff doesn't make him a Geek... He seemed kind of dumb if you ask me...

Personally I like the idea of the colonel just sending Tex a postcard from the island with the nubile women....

Keep in mind, this is a Family Friendly game, so there won't be any showing of the Nubile women, just the postcard... Unless of course AC wants to go for an Adult Only Audience, but I don't see that happening...

I saw plenty of nubile women in the background of Archie's vidphone message if you choose Path A and save him from Jackson Cross. Doesn't have to be explicit content to show off a pretty girl.

Besides, y'know? In AC we trust?
