Limbo of the Lost - Biggest insult to Adventure gaming ever!

because it is by far the most funniest thing I have EVER seen. I cannot believe someone was stupid enough to try and pull something like this off.

On June 11, 2008 GamePlasma, a gaming news site, posted an article that shows certain places in Limbo of the Lost were identical to the game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.[6] After the revelation, others looking into the game discovered environments and features that appeared to be taken from the games The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal Tournament 2003, Diablo II, Thief: The Dark Project, Thief: Deadly Shadows, a CryENGINE2 Tech Demo, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Painkiller, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, Hexen and World of Warcraft.[7][8] Other scenes appear to be taken from live action films: one from the 1997 film Spawn, another from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and several more from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. [9][10] and level design from enclave[citation needed].

Publisher Tri Synergy announced they had stopped distribution of Limbo of the Lost while investigating these allegations of plagiarism. Tri Synergy says they had no knowledge that Majestic Studios used other games' work without permission and has contacted Majestic Studios and is waiting for the developer to respond.[7]

Seriously though... What the hell? This looks like and feels like complete and utter garbage. If this is the best adventure game fans can make... Then I'd rather we honor the fallen dead and have a proper burial.

Love the title - probably a bit like the rest of the developers' careers.

LOL, I better retract my statement about Mirror's Edge then.
Sorry, let me post these points the developers said about the game again, they're just too damn funny to let go:


* State of the art graphics

That is, start of the retro art.

* Immersive (being there) sound effects

A opposed to immersive (not being there) sound effects?

* Full musical score

Has a melody!

* Devious Puzzles

Indeed. So devious you don't solve them... they solve YOU!

* Play and Reveal storyline

A opposed to play and reveal trousers?

* Each Level feels different in play

Not just the same level over and over!

* Spectator gameplay - You do not control the main character, you ask him to do
certain actions, actions that sometimes he will or will not do.

So in other words, you control the main character!

* Over 30 NPC characters to talk with.

God help us!

* 6 levels of logical devious puzzles.

Did I mention they were devious?

* Original storyline

Just don't ask where we got the visuals though.

* Hours of dialogue with 100% lip synched 3D models.

100% synched alright... the graphical quality matches the terrible voice talent!

* 100% mouse driven, with optional keyboard shortcuts.

As opposed to controlling with a cheese sandwich?

* Save your game anywhere at anytime.

Forget saving the same, save yourself!!

* No dying, action sequences or sliding puzzles.

In other words: No way out, no fun, minus those horrible sliding puzzles which might make the game bad.

It is selling on eBay for over 60 bucks... I can't believe that... The seller is also saying that you will find it very Challenging... It's selling for 30 on Amazon...

Yeah people will do that, becuase there are just as many suckers out there. Like when I was inquiring about a car... the value of it was around 6.5k... and he was asking 10! I asked why, despite being only worth 6.5k, he was selling it for that much, and he said "becuase what that value fails to reflect it how much care I have taken of it"... so I said "So basically you expect people to pay an 3.5k just for your verbal guarantee?". Jokers.
