Eagle Eye...

I part of me really wants to see this movie, but after seeing Transformers and Indiana Jones, i'm afraid i'm just not a Shia fan. He's not my cup of tea, there's just something that he doesn't do for me. But the film does look good, I just don't know if i'll be able to look past Shia to enjoy it.

To each their own of course... I think Shia has potential... I'm not the biggest fan of his either, but I do think he'll be one of those Actors that my/our children will grow up with, kind of like Harrison Ford and Bruce Willis are our actors...
As with everything else, times must change, unless of course Hollywood can reverse the aging process and give us back our Raiders Of The Lost Ark Harrison Ford and give us back our Moonlighting Bruce Willis... Otherwise we need to open our eyes to new people to take the stage...

The thing about Shia is, unlike the actors you mentioned, he's being groomed from the ground up by studios to fit in and fill up some shoes. He's going to be among the first official Hollywood byproducts created entirely in a lab. We've seen it for years, if not decades, with pop singers, but this is a very recent thing with actors. Disney's pretty strong at it too with their High School Musical crew, the Effron guy especially.

This said, I was still thinking of seeing Eagle Eye. Looked decent, and I still think Shia can do a good job, despite the strange aftertaste I get after watching his movies.
