Some pics of the new place!
Well as some of you may or may not know, I moved out! After 23 years of living at home it was finally time to grab my sack n' stick and head out the door. It was a wonder my folks put up with me for so long.
Anyway, I've been in the new place for almost 2 months now which is plenty of time to settle in, so I figured it was about time I posted some pics of the apartment!
View of the lounge room:

Another angle of the lounge room:

The veg-out corner (notice the Tex Murphy game boxes sit proudly on top in full view, just like I said they would Jim!!)

The only thing that's missing is the Xbox 360:

The beast:

View from the window, facing east coast:

And again from further inside (with pervoscope!):

Managed to catch a rainbow:

Some interesting cloud banks:

From the balcony, facing north at night:

-Cub. =o)

We have similar setups, it seems. Although, I regretfully, only have one monitor due to how stupid my current Desk is. But, I make up for this as I have a 360, as well as PS3/Wii. Oh, we have the same speaker system as well, those were a great deal, I might add.
What brand is your desk? I really like it, and I'm looking to get a new one. It's probably, unlikely, I can get the same desk in the states, but I can always look!

Not a bad looking place, I love the Entertainment Center, very nice, also the computer station... Good luck with it...

I'm still sometimes caught off-guard by the fact that what I'm looking at resides on the other side of the freakin' world!
Technology is amazing.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
Hahaha, good to hear it has that feel about it.Frank wrote: I have to say, while apartments tend to look generic, this place of yours looks very much "Cubase".
My girl was a bit apprehensive of all the gear, especially with all the darn remotes! But I got one of those Logitech Harmony remotes does does it all in one, and it works a charm.
It's funny, I had the telephone guy over this morning to fix the lines (as they had a lot of static on them), but before he came I had a fiddle with the wiring myself (knowing a bit, albeit, limited amount about tellecomms wiring), but the issue was somewhere further down stream so I had to put everything back the way it was before he came, but of course I did not have the tools to do it as well as they do. So when he came by to take a look he said "the previous guy who did the wiring did a bit of a sloppy job here"... and I was like "the bastards!!". haha!
Fred, too right, it is amazing how you can just look at pictures looking at scenery and then it hits you that it was the point of view of someone over the other side of the globe. I especially like to look at photos like that and wonder what all the people in that shot are doing now, or wonder what I was doing at the time somewhere else.
Litlkeck... you're on! Although I think Electron Stu has us both beat to be honest... and in terms of Tex Murphy "stuff" you cannot beat Jen or Jim.
Thanks for all your responses guys. Happy to be out on my own I guess. I do miss home once in a while when I go back... but I think it is wise to experience life out in the open before taking the next big step.... Tokyo! ...and yes it is still going ahead but I am going to delay it so I can get everything better organised and develop my home business further.

You know Cub, seeing that telescope there, I didn't take you for a Peeper... Shame, Shame...

Or are you trying to be like Tex in MM???
