U.S.S. Kelvin??? Thought this was suppose to be an attempt at a "Remake" of the Original Cast and Crew???
From Left to right...
Chekov {Edited for Correction}, Kirk, Scotty, Bones, Zulu, and Uhura... I wonder why Spock isn't in this shot...

I must admit I am kind of excited to see it. Curious what they are doing with it but it's looking good.
And I think Spock is holding the camera . . . except he isn't wearing any pants. Hence the odd looks from the crew.

He Wants Their Power... And he doesn't "Drill" the skulls open, it's more of a "Slice"...

JJ Abrams same guy tied to the shows Alias & Lost right? Those shows started strong, but had no idea where they were going. Fringe is another example. I heard one of their people say in an article "even we don't know what the pattern is yet."
Also that picture the first guy is Chekov.
I thought MI:3 was ... pretty lame. The movie "Cloverfield," was just awful. I read Abram's Superman "reboot," script where Krypton doesn't blow up. That was total crap. People I know who have read the Star Trek script...
****SPOILERS****
***SPOILERS*****
Romulans go back in time and destroy the USS Kelvin which has an ancestor of James T Kirk on board. It changes time. Spock goes back in time and tells his younger self what has happened, and what the Romulans expect the change to accomplish. It is up to him and the young Kirk to stop it all.
By going back BEFORE the original series.... Abrams can in affect "change time," and thus the movie exists in a parallel universe. In this universe he can change things from the "canon," the Trekies expect. Remember Wrath of Khan and how they mention how Kirk was the only one to "beat," an unbeatable scenario? Well it appears that he did this in Abram's world by seducing and using someone to change the program for him. Blah.
The script was in the opinion of my friend (whom I trust on this) "above average crap."
The reason the movie was delayed until next summer was re-writes and re-shoots (and a lot of both). The movie was started in spite of the writer's strike. So they saw what they had and were going to have and immediately said "whoa!"
Not sure about the rewrites or anything but the story is basically the same.
