2,000 reasons to say thank you to everyone!

Well, there you have it, I have officially written myself into Tex Murphy community history as the biggest loudmouth! Although I am afraid I will most likely soon be overtaken by Mr Fred Buer (or should I say, Thread Booster!).
Anyway, all numbers aside I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the people who have made my experiences here truly memorable. I know our community is so large these days it would be impossible to try and thank each of you individually with a message without leaving some out... so to Jim, James, Jen, Fred, Baf, Paul, Freep, Thomas Malloy, Jerry, Sai, Alex, jcarnby, Michel, Rockefeller, Adnins, Vracar, Gary, David, Cyberpunk, Andy, Atomic Vegatable, Blair, Keck, Jane, Joel, Ryan, Frank, Netroam, Stu, SeuLunga, McDonie, Lotus, nondaj, Von,Heinz, Hammerhead, Chris & Chris, Nilo, Sam, Val and everyone else... thank you!!
James, 11 years ago I logged into your site, way back when you had the Tex's Office music playing in the background, and your knowledge of HTML and website development was constantly improving. It was the first Tex Murphy site I visited and I too was a lurker for a short time until one day I made my appearance on the forums. That was to be one of the most valuable choices I made, and thanks to you this place still has the soul, the warmth and the constantly improving technology that I latched onto years ago. Thanks for keeping the experience alive and consistent throughout all this time.
Jim... in terms of fond memories nothing tops that phone call a few months back. A few members were concerned with your lack of interactivity, and after pounding the virtual pavement looking for that one in many hundreds of names in your area I connected through to your wife, and after telling her I was a friend from Australia, hearing her say (as she handed the phone to you) "you think it's him?" had me in stitches! Then the rather awkward introduction that followed (some folks might get a kick out of this):
Jim: Hello?
Me: Hi, am I speaking with Jim?
Jim: Yes?
Me: ..... the old guy?
Jim: It's the old guy!
Anyway, those a few stories that I thought I would share...
After all this, and reaching 2,000 posts I have decided to go out on a high note and announce my retirement from the community. My lifestyle and commitments are starting to take more precedence over my time, but I may pop in every so often as a lurker, not a poster...
... I kid, I kid! As if I would be able to stay away from you guys!!
