Very sad news

This is a very sad day for our international family. A wonderful and lovely woman known on this board as Ripley123 died Sept. 13. I just received an email from her daughter. She was diagnosed with lung cancer only 6 months ago and it claimed her life as stated above. I cannot begin to tell you how deeply I am affected. She was, to say the least, a real sweetheart of a person. Her outlook on life was inspiring, her disposition delightful, and her wisdom/imtelligence expansive. I never felt this way about a person I never had the pleasure of meeting. Just thought I would let you know.

Oh dear...

This is indeed a very, very sad occasion. I am speechless.

She was no doubt a wonderful person and a valuable contributor to this community. She was kind and thoughtful and always made this place that little bit more special.

Like Jim said, she was a sweet, easy going and positive person and she will be missed greatly. She was a part of our family and will always have a place among us.

Ripley, you will be in out prayers tonight.

-Cub.

I think this may be the first member death we've ever had. My condolences to the family. Perhaps we could make a card or some kind of gesture to send ?

Even though I was never around to see her posts, or know her personally, the death of anyone is always a sad thing indeed. My sympathies and respect go out to her family, and I'm very sorry for this community to have lost one of its members.

I'm speechless. She was such a part of our community - one of those names you note whenever she posts.

She will be missed.

:(
When a Jew learns of a death we say in hebrew: "Baruch Dayan Emet".
Meaning: blessed is he who judges true.
For we can never understand why such horrible fates become such wonderful people.
She was a major contributor to the board and she will be missed.

James, maybe we can make some memorium corner in honor of the fallen, who never gave up hope for tex's return?

My condolencs to her family (please pass them on Jim).

-Giv

Sadly, this gave me a reason to post after being silent for a while.
