Flight of the Amazon Queen.

I just finished playing this game for the very first time last night. I just had to make a topic out of this as I have not had this much fun with a PC Game since probably Day of the Tentacle. It really took me back: corny 1980s style action/adventure story, a beefy protagonist, humourous dialogue and an exotic setting. It was so much fun! Plus I only ever used a walkthrough once for this game and completed it in about 5 days. No wonder I'm having trouble taking contemporary games seriously.
I'm currently going through all of my old school games. I've become a member of gog.com (good old games). I've downloaded Kingpin and Duke Nukem 3D so far.
I'm going to play Beneath a Steel Sky next.

Oh man I just went on a spree!! Great site!
right now I am playing Duke 3D at work! Reminds me of when I used to play it at school... c'mon boss keys!! Mind you, I was caught out at school once by my computers teacher when she noticed my boss key screen was Windows 3.1 despite the fact we were using 98 haha!!

LMAO, we still used mostly Dos and 3.1 when I was in School... I didn't have Boss Keys... If I got caught that was it... Usually I was done my work with plenty of time to spare, so I didn't get in a whole lot of trouble for playing... She didn't like the fact that I brought my own games though...

I have been struck with another idea! Any chance we could have a chat with AC and CJ so we can get them to upload XP compatible versions of all the Tex games? They would save costs on manufacturing and distribution so I can't imagine it being too taxing on their pockets. The site is also very popular, so it would be great publicity.
Cub: also playing DN3D...ahhhh the memories. Redneck Rampage is next for me, currently playing Kingpin.

anyway I'd really like GOG to get on board with Activision and LucasArts, those are two companies that have been real assholes to the abandoned ware community- so to see their games actually come back and be sellable would be AWESOME.
Hell it'd be even cooler for them to do it for Access Software's stuff too but I doubt it.

Don't forget Interplay, they had some good games back in the day... Or were they a part of one of the other companies???
I have no problem paying for games from my youth as long as they don't go overboard on the price... A game called Metal Marines for Super Nintendo, I loved that game, when I rebought the SNES and NES I looked for that game and everywhere wanted 50 bucks or more for it... Finally I found it for right around 40 and grabbed it...
I realize the rarity index and all, but come on...
To make it worse, when I finally got around to unpacking all my old games for NES and SNES, I had 2 copies of the game in there...
