Well i just completed "Out from Boneville", the first Bone adventure.

For $20 US, it was a pretty fun adventure game that only takes up a couple hours.

I reccomend it. It has a nice little charm to it and they try and experiment with dialogue in adventure games a bit.

Only complaint is that the 2nd mini game was kinda laggy.

I'll definitely be watching Telltale games.

Thanks for the heads up, AV. I am always interested in new adventure games.

Twenty bucks for a couple hours of gametime doesn't really strike me as a good ratio, but we'll see.

Well i think the $20 was worth it for the immersion.

I've never read the comics either (i always wanted to) but i think the game does a brilliant job of taking you into its world.

The immersion factor was definitely worth it.

Bone is probably my biggest influence when it comes to the direction I want to eventually take my comic book work. Jeff Smith's work is what compelled me to make sequential art my ulimate focus in life. He's nothing short of a masterful artist and storyteller. Go pick up a copy of Bone ASAP! (in comic form... game form is secondary :)) The comics are not hard to find, and there is even a Collected version which combines every issue of Bone into one giant, potential-as-a-blunt-instrument version of goodness (and it's relatively cheap!).

In short... yes, I've read them. They are, as the kids say, "teh r0x0rs!!1!" :)

I was flipping through the compendium you mentioned, James, and I considered getting it...don't know why I didn't in retrospect. Maybe I'll check it out.
