Fred still owes me one from that time with the thing. And I'm cashing in.
Nice to see all you guys are still around.
Usually I'm full of inane chatter, but basically I came on here just to say hi to everyone I knew. You know ... who you are. Unless you forgot me .. in which case ... dang.

All is well, yes, yes ...
As to the question of where I have been. I've been .. well here, in the same place, I just lost access to a computer for a while. I have a nice new shiny one now though, and even got myself back into the MMO world, messing around with Lord of the Rings Online.
You know it's taken me three whole days of being back "online" for me to remember this place. I should be beaten, flogged, and hung out on the porch to cure.
Now I gotta buy this new game the boys put out that I had no idea existed.
I'm excited to be back in the realm of connectivity
And good to hear from you too bud, you were like ... my bit more mature counterpart.
I'd like to tell you've I've grown up, but that would be a bold faced lie.

I never gave up hope for you my friend. Damned glad you back. This is as good of news to me as Project Fedora.
Tell me Mr. Malloy. How close is where you live to Cleveland Ohio. I am going up there to visit a friend sometime soon, and it would be nice if we could get together and have some lunch or something.

Unfortunately, on the other side of the state
I'm right on the outside of Dayton. I assure you, if we did meet for lunch, however, that you wouldn't miss my complete lack of restraint, my bad habit of cat calling women in public, or the way I seem to drone on and on about nothing until I forgot what I was talking about.
I'm the guy that when you're out with me, you're forehead is red from how many times you slapped it.
Jen!!! *Gratuitous cat-call scene upcoming*
Mmm, mmm, you must be a parking ticket, because you have fine written all over you.
Thank you Glen. Ohhh riight.
I remember you were the first person I ever read a post from on here way back when, heh heh. Good to see ya!

Well if you're coming from Virginia, I'd assume you'd go through WV into Columbus on 70, then up 71 to Cleveland. Actually now that I think about it, from here to Columbus is only about 50 miles or so ... So probably about an hour out of the way, at most.
And I'm just kidding, I'm not one of those guys who embarrasses you in public. I actually like ... really hate anything ... public. But I am that way with my friends

, so then again ... you never know.

Worried? Me? *Slight cough* I am always well-posed and polite, surely. *Another slight cough*
Back in the MMO scene, eh? I'm back there too, which I thought would never happen. But it's EVE Online, so, heh, kinda different. Very fun though!
And yes, you were missed. Like a leg after amputation. WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME WITH THE PHANTOM PAINS!? I had to create a make-believe Malloy in my head to fill in the gaps left by your lack of posting to amuse myself on sad mornings with the rainclouds and the what-not! I tell you a make-believe Malloy comes up with the worst cracks and jokes!
Aaaanyway. Good to see you're still breathing and posting. Or posting at least. Are you a zombie? *click-KaCHACK* Show me some credentials, zombie-boy!

You know, EVE was one of the games I looked at, but I decided against it because I just don't think I have the brain power for ship to ship combat. Like if I was in Star Trek I'd be a red shirt security officer. (which also means I'm doomed to death) Don't stick me behind the confounded controls of a ship.
So I went with what I was already comfortable with. I remember'd playing WOW back in the day, and I was pretty good at it, so I went with LOTR because it's like the same thing only better, and updated. The characters feel a bit floaty, but I think that's because I refuse to play it on anything less than ultra high graphics setting. The people are all elitist "I'm better than you because I spend my whole life playing this" types, but then again, what MMO isn't like that?
But the real cool thing about LOTR is Monster Play. You unlock it at lvl 10, and you get your own lvl 60 orc. The perk to this is if you have a friend you want to play with, but you're either levels behind or levels ahead, you can still play on equal footing together, terrorizing the denizens of middle earth.

It's not about ship-to-ship combat in EVE man. It's about having a spaceship. For instance. You wanna do mining ops? Haul ore? Buy and sell and do trading? Drive the freakin' bus? Go right ahead.
Or, you can blast people in the face with giant lasers. Pewpew!

Tried EVE at a friend's, and survived for just about 3 minutes. Not sure what happened, either. Giant pew pews coming from everywhere, I think, while I was just going around minding my own business.
It's too crowded for space, even though the whole idea is badass.
Oh an, ahoy, another welcome back for Malloy!
