Bad weekend, or good weekend? You decide...

Okay, ever had one of those days... where some things just can't stop going wrong. Well, in making this post as brief as I can let me show you the proverbial icing on the cake for me yesterday morning:

Don't worry folks, I am OK. The car however is in pretty bad shape. I was not distracted or anything, I just had a temporary lapse of judgment and this was the end result of that.

Anyway, so that was all before 1pm yesterday. Now ordinarily I would be mad, annoyed, pissed, depressed, and feeling pretty hard done by. But for some reason I wasn't... I did not care that I just totaled my car. In fact, by that evening I had totally forgotten it. Not because I have a terrible memory, but because of this:

As some of you may remember, I posted a message a while back (the Cubdate), where I told everyone I had starting dating my old High School crush. This is Mel and I last night. I promised some of you that I would post some pics up sooner or later so here's a couple of the two of us. Let's just say that when I am around her anything bad just seems to drift into non-existence.

So, did I have a bad weekend or a good weekend? I no longer have a car, and I still reckon I had one of the best weekends of my life!

Cub, in your analysis of the weekend, the biggest mistake you've made is trying to give the previous 48 hours a single label. Why do that? You've clearly experienced a weekend of ups and downs. Why should the some of such eclectic parts amount to something so black and white? What you've experienced is something called life: taking the good with the bad.

To answer your question, you've experienced a healthy weekend. The fact that you can sit back, reflect on the less desirable and balance it with something really special and unique (your girlfriend - trust me, she is) says a lot about your character. It certainly wasn't a bad weekend, but to simply say "it was good" wouldn't say anything at all because it's all relative.

The fact is, you walk away with everything at the end of the day. Your car will get repaired, your girlfriend still loves you. Who cares what that is referred to as, just live it.

By the way, it's good to know that you're still in 1 piece :D

And now for the Malloy analysis ...

Yeeeeaaaaah baaaaby, yeaaah. Right on, baby. Totally dig her man. You guys look waaaay coupleish. These pictures only need a good Whitesnake ballad to accompany it man.

Seriously, though Cub my man, if she makes you not care you wrecked your car, there aren't too many other signs you're going to be getting to whether it's "love that you're feeling". I'm happy as hell for ya man.

Sorry about the car, you just got that one too, if I remember right... didn't a tree fall on your last one sometime last year???

I have to agree with Joel though, it was a weekend of ups and downs, no real label needs to be put on it...

She's quite the looker Cub, play it smart and good luck...
