Pandora Directive Drive Letters
Hey all, long time Tex Murphy fan and I just dug out the old games to give them another playthrough. Had no problems with UAKM running through Dosbox and Overseer's unworkable because unfortunately I'm using a machine with 64 bit Vista for the next few months. However my real issue is with The Pandora Directive.
My CD/DVD drive was generically labeled E:, and I had no problems with during UAKM. When I got to Pandora Directive, however, it insisted that CD 1 had to be put in the D: drive. Annoying but no real problem there, I just changed the drive letter to D and it worked great. Until it told me to put in CD 2 which it demanded be placed in the E: drive that no longer exists. I switched the drive letter back to E (restarting after each change to be safe) just as a test. It still wants CD 1 to be put in the D drive. I think I could probably solve this just by putting it all on a single DVD so I wouldn't have to switch at all, but suffice to say that's kinda a pain of the ass right now so I'd be grateful for any other ideas.
Thanks.
Doing all this through DOSBOX 0.73 on a 64 bit Vista OS if it matters.
