Good. That's all I got to say about that. I say bring more lawsuits and seizures on. I won't be happy until all these advertisements are erased from my box.

Sometimes I feel like out-of-court settlements are the bane of the justice system.

There are, Crowley. Ultimately, taxpayers pay for these types of settlements. Phooey!

all an out of court settlement is, is a bribe. It says "ill give you money if you leave me alone" by the law they are infact illegal (its a bribe), but.. since a few people are getting rich off of them, they are not illegal... WTF!!! I honestly don't see much of a difference between a cash settlemnt outside of court on something and me telling a police officer who wants to give me a ticket "I'll give you $100 if you don't give me a ticket"

I just hate settlements...... they suck

I disagree. While I think some settlements are not in the public's best interest, the majority are a good thing. If no one was allowed to settle out of court then it would take decades for cases to reach trial because of the court backlog. Also, think about it, having to sue over everything would really hurt the people who were injured. For example, I was just involved in a car accident where my car was totaled. The insurance company and I agree on the value of my car and agree on my hospital expenses, and they've offered to pay these amounts. If we couldn't settle out of court then I'd have to sue them, spend money on an attorney, wait for the case to go to trial, spend taxpayer money for a judge, court security, and a jury, and then hope that the jury would award me what the insurance company and I agree I'm owed. That just doesn't make sense. I just don't see what's gained by tying up judicial resources and spending more of the taxpayers' money and more of my money.
