someone on this board somewhere (can't for the life of me remember who and where

had the idea of turning the DVD video files into smacker files and injecting those into the cd version of the game.
Well, I've tried this numerous times, unfortunately though, it won't work and I can't figure out why. I reencoded the files to smk with all the specification of the original files, except higher framerate and higher picture quality. The game completely ignores those files.
1. converted the dvd files into raw video file i.e. no compression whatsoever
2. took rad video tools to reencode to smk
3. injected files into iso
4. no dice
5. reencoded files with different sound qualities and resolutions
6. still no luck
I need some pointers on this one. Anyone?
