tex murphy the drunk
I believe that the Clown and Tex being the Drunk are one in the same... But I could be wrong... When I get a bit more time on my hands I plan on trying for all the endings again... It's been way too long...

Well then this brings us to a New Goal, find this Drunken Tex... Has anyone done this, please speak up if you have??? I'd be interested in hearing the choices made to find this path, if it exists, but I don't see why Aaron would lie about something like that...
I wonder what you have to do to achieve this... Why do you have to restart the game??? Are you unable to finish it if you become the Drunk???
I'd like to see some of the conversations with Tex being Drunk, like the one with Malloy, the one with Jackson Cross... And some of the side comments made when trying to do stuff have to be hilarious...
I remember him being Drunk at the Flamingo, but not through the whole game...
The Lazer Field, how about the Fireball Room???

Yes you can let Emily die... You haven't played that path yet??? It's a nasty path indeed... A very disturbing look at how Tex could be if he really let his down times get to him...
I've only played the Boulevard of Broken Dreams twice, because it's a really ugly feeling to go that route... And it has been years since I've done it...

Pretty sure he was just talking about the dark path where we see Tex get drunk two times... At the Flamigo, and how he has a drunken convo with Emily... then at the end of the next day out he finds the postcard from Chelsee and he decides to hit the bottle again... I don't think he actually meant Tex is drunkout throughout the WHOLE game... we would of known of this years ago...

Yeah, but how funny would it have been to have had several Drunken Conversations...

You nailed it, Chris.
First, you can get the clown ending on Lombard Street, the second ending (first is holodate). But Tex does NOT get drunk on that path.
Second, you can also get the clown ending on the BOBD, first ending and Tex gets drunk twice as mars signified above.
Third, there are three slightly different other endings to path C: BOBD. Tex gets drunk twice in those also. However, there are no times on the other paths when Tex gets stewed and he has only one conversation when he does: with Emily on BOBD path. She, too, acts quite different from her personality shown in paths A and B. She is more flirty and dirty and ends up ratting on Tex when Gus shows up.

It probably goes back to 1989 when our beloved Uncle Buck had his Clown Encounter...joliet_jane wrote:Why does being a clown = being a drunk?
