Question about Tex and Colonel Dobbs

Colonel tosed out Tex from detective agency. What happened between them? In "UAKM", Colonel said that Tex sold him out. In "Overseer" you can find the upseted letter from the Colonel. Eve Clements said something about Colonel.
So, what happened between Tex and Colonel? Tex sold Colonel out? How? And why?
Please, tell me who knows something about it.

Thanks in advance.

Alex Bark.

I don't remember there being any specific details. I think it was just suggested/implied that the Colonel did something that didn't quite stick to the rules. It wasn't necessarily something major like murder though, because as Tex later found out, bending the rules a little happens sometimes. For example I doubt breaking into high security offices with fake identities and so on is strictly by the rules  and that is something Tex does continually. But back then Tex was still new and eager to go by the book, word for word. So yes to put it simply, he probably reported him to the Colonel's boss or something similar.

I'd too be interested to know if anything specific details was ever revealed though! Interesting question. :)

I figured Tex reported things like breaking and entering to the police.

Yeah, Tex's version of the "rules" differed from The Colonel's. Harley Fenwick's Little Red Book of Rules For a P.I. lists rule Number 1 as "Don't Fall For a Client," but in Under a Killing Moon, The Colonel tells Tex the first rule of a P.I. is "You never, ever betray your friends..."

When Tex was working for Dobbs Investigative Sevices, he noticed that The Colonel had a tendancy to do things his own way, regardless of whether or not it was on the straight-and-narrow. Tex reported The Colonel's "unethical practices" to the P.I. Liscencing Board, which resulted in The Colonel having his liscence suspended, and The Colonel kicked Tex out of his detective agency.

Just an addendum...

In one of the various occasion to ask questions directly to Aaron Conners, writer extraordinaire, (I believe it was a chat session), I asked him: "Do you actually have any details mapped out about the circumstances leading to Tex's dismissal from the Colonel agency or is it just a milestone on the Tex Timeline and nothing more?" He said that he hadn't quite made that story yet, but that it was a good idea to maybe pursue in the future.

Yeah, naturally. ;) I think if all else fails, we should be getting an audio or raw text version at least (if I remember right, audio is the official last resort?). :D At any rate it'd be a shame to not shed light on such things as these :)

Do u think Aaron might consider writing a novel if his company wont produce a new tex game in any format.

I certainly hope there will be something coming out that involves our Tex
