Interesting audio book I got today

Over the last couple months I have either bought or borrowed (from the library) several audio books to listen while I drive the Detroit area. The one I just got from the library is called Like A Charm. It consists of 9 CDs and over 10 hours of listening enjoyment. But here's the kicker. Sixteen authors each contributed a chapter dealing with a mysterious charm. The story begins in 1803 and ends in the late 20th century. Sound familiar?
BTW, if you decide to get audio books I highly recommend the unabridged versions. These are the full novels, not the Reader Digest excerpts.

Actually the Round Robin style has been around for a while. Agatha Christie participated in one with other mystery writers in her day. The name of the story was "Floating Admiral", and it was written in 1931. Unfortunately I never got around to reading that book.
The idea recently popped into my head because of an assignment in school. I had to write a computer program that had to run many jobs. But each job had to be done in Round Robin style instead of each job running all the way through in sequential order. Each job got to run for 5 minutes at a time and taking turns until all jobs got done at the end. This was a concept in how share a computer resources when everybody needs to use it.

You're missing the root of my words here Sam... Jim is the one who Kicked off our story, Jim is the one who put the Idea of the Story into the Story, and now he is talking about a Book-On-Tape that sounds a lot like the Story we are doing...
So my question to him, Is this where you got the Idea for the Round Robin???

Sorry Baf,
I thought you meant the question for me since I started of the original thread with the idea to do a Tex Round Robin last month. Jim chimed in that they had done it before in the past but I wasn't sure when.

Actually, Sam had the idea of a round robin weks before I took the audio story from the library. I just thought it was timely in lieu of our efforts to write a multi-authored fan-fic.

I thought you were referring to the Mysterious Charm that was centuries old...
Oh yeah I know who had the Round Robin idea... But you are the one who kicked us in the story's direction...
But now I see you are referring to the fact that we have a Multi-Authored story unfolding...
Speaking which, I know we disbanded the Word Limit, did we increase it to a 4th round as well???

I think we are still working towards 3 rounds.
