A death in the family

My brother's ex-wife, Jeanette, the mother of my oldest niece and nephew, passed away today at age 37. Cancer. She is survived by her two children, Cathrine and Kristoffer. They were by her side, along with my brother, at the end.
37. That's no age at all.
I wish her peace now. She's earned it. And then some.

Tragic; absolutely tragic. You are right, Fred, 37 is no age at all. May your family find peace and solice at this difficult time. You too, old friend.

Sorry to hear of your loss... Never a good thing losing someone, even worse when they are so young...
What was the Type of Cancer that caused her very Untimely departure???
My best regards to the poor little children as well...

I'm unsure of the translation, but from judicious use of the googles, I've arrived at the conclusion it's called Lymphoma in english.
Thank you. All of you.

Sometimes you come across the strangest coincidences... The Lead Actor from the New show on Starz, Spartacus, Andy Whitfield, has the same thing, well similar in a way... He is from Amlwch, North Wales, UK...
The show has been put on hold pending his recovery... He has the type of Lymphoma that has a relatively high cure rate... I believe he has Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma...
How old are your Niece and Nephew??? I hope they pull through rather quickly with minimal scarring...

37 is very young, it's sad to hear... thoughts go out to you and the family.

My niece and nephew are turning 18 and 16 this year, respectively.
Speaking of cancer, I just read Ronnie James Dio of Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Dio, and Heaven & Hell died a few hours ago. He was 67.
Of course, in rocker years, that's like... 108 or something.

I am sad to hear it. I initially thought your cryptic "R.I.P." Facebook status was referring to Dio. But this was much more personal, wasn't it?
I hope her children find peace as well. That would be so rough.

Oh Fred,
I'm so sorry to hear about your personal loss. Best wishes to your family. It always depresses me to hear about people dying so young when they have so much more life to live.

37 is definitely too young. I kind of get nervous with my parents now in their mid fifities and hearing of people at their age having heart attacks and strokes. Frightening stuff. Sorry to hear of it, Fred. We're here for you.
