Google SketchUp

Hey, guys, my boss wants me to learn to use Google SketchUp.

I was wondering if any of use had any dimensions (estimated or otherwise) for the locations on Chandler Ave. presented in the Tex Murphy games so I could try and recreate it as I learned how to use SketchUp. Also, does anyone have any information on the appearance and design of Coit Tower (since that exists in the real world)? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

A loyal Tex Murphy fan (with too little time to play the games at the moment),

Hammerhead

Hey Hammerhead, been awhile... Good to see you posting...

Sorry I don't know anything about Google Sketch... Good luck with it though, I'm sure someone here will know something...

Coit tower has already been modeled in Sketch up you can download it here:

Its the same model used in Google Earth.

As for Chandler Avenue's dimensions you have a birds eye view of the entire area in the maps section of the game, I'm sure these are accurate to the actual size of the buildings in terms of scale to one another.

Alternatively you could always try a D3D rip on the game, I haven't tried it yet but it would be interesting to see if it works, its Direct 3d so it SHOULD work.
