I have read an interesting preview about a game called The Tulse Luper Journey on http://www.gamer.nl/viewdoc/2025 .
Because the site is in the Dutch language i will translate it into English as good as possible. I found it interesting because Aaron said if a new Tex Murphy in flash format will do and i think this game could be an idea for Aaron for a next game.
The game The Tulse Luper Journey is a multiplayer online webgame including 92 puzzles in FLASH format, this something Aaron mentioned for a possible format for a new TEX-GAME. These puzzles are very different from eachother and if u complete one puzzle you can achieve a part of an animatinon film by trading with other players. I will try to tell more about the character of the game
Character
Tulse Luper is a fictional character created by filmdirector Peter Greenaway. Mystery surrounds this character as though people think he had an integral part of the most important events troughout the 20th centurym, such as the upcoming of fascism, the Cold War and the production of uranium. Troughout the century the legend about him grows and he is being captured by different groups trough time because they think he is of important value to them. Troughout his adventures he workd on his ideas, writes books, has affairs with different women, escappes from prisons but he dont control his own life. During his adventures and his life he leaves 92 briefcases behind filled with stuff. 92 is an important number because its the number of uranium. The briefcases tell the story of Tulse Luper
Purpose of game
The purpose of the game is to unreval the myth about Tulse Luper. Which information is being made up, what has actually happened? Did Tulse Luper really exist. while you investigate the 92 briefcases you know more about Tulse Luper. when you complete a puzzle you will be awarded with a part of an animationfilm which you can trade with other players for other parts. With the help of other players you find a way togerther to complete the movie. Besides the animationparts you also earn credits wich you also can use for trading film seequences or to travel to different labs around the world. while you ploay the game more briefcases will be added to examine.
