So, I understand from a radio preacher here in the U.S. that the rapture will occur Satuday the 21st at 6 p.m. local time. I'd appreciate a heads up from anyone in Australia if the rapture does happen so that I have a few hours to prepare.

Hehe.
You know this guy plastered billboards all over North America telling people about it?
This isn't the first time he predicted it. He did in 1994 and then when it didn't happen, he said he had to go back to the drawing board and recalculate and he disappeared. Then he predicted it again, and was wrong... what makes him think this time it is going to happen????
This guy has a 20 year track record of being wrong in a profession that has a 4000 year track record of being wrong.
Something tells me the world won't end until our sun engulfs it and we will all be long gone by then.
As George Carlin would say..... The Planet is fine. It isn't going anywhere... WE ARE!!!

It had better not happen. I'm still unpacking at my new house.

Whew, thanks, Lynne. Well, it does mean that I have to paint my garage now, so maybe it's not so great.

Good news indeed. The fact that the rapture was going to hit each time zone at 6pm made me laugh out loud. Well, I guess I'll cancel my Post rapture looting party. Bummer too, was looking to score on some sweet bling.

Yea, my baby is still here.
So I know it didn't happen.
Hate to be those people that were so convinced they spent all their money and life savings.
Looks like back to the drawing board. Cya in another 20 years.

I thought that was funny too! At least if it did happen like that we would've given all you folks a heads up.... that is: if we weren't screaming and running around, trying to look after the chosen ones' pets. haha... dibs on all the rabbits!

Well, you know there is a bloke in the U.S. (who is an avowed atheist, so he promises to still be on earth following the rapture) and has set up a business where you pay him and he promises to take care of your pets after the rapture. So, I'm just saying that it may not be a bad business model to pursue.

Yeah, haha, that's where I got the gag from. Amazing what you can start a business with these days huh?

Yeah, although it is pretty brilliant on his part (albeit a bit silly). I mean, you can't sue him for fraud because you can't prove that he won't take care of your animals after the rapture. It seems like I'm always behind the curve on these things.

Well, now he's saying he miscalculated the date of the rapture, and May 21st was just a judgement day leading up to the rapture. Apparently, we're repeating the entertainment from last weekend on October 21st. I really want to follow this and see how his followers take this, and what they do.

Well, why not let the people jump on the bandwagon again? They spent the last of their money and sold off all of their belongings, so what have they go to lose?
