Howdy Gang,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm typing this message from my new home in Washington state. I finally managed to get my desktop computer re-assembled and working.
I've been working at my new job for a week and about 75% unpacked. It was exactly 7 days ago I got on an airplane in TX and ended up here in WA. Talk about life-changing!
Okay enough rambling. Back to work. Glad everybody survived the almost-apocalypse. Better luck next year in 2012!

Congratulations on surviving the move, and the apocalypse! And good luck with the remaining 25% of the unpacking.
I always find that after a move, there is probably 1 or 2 boxes that never get unpacked. I usually realise that if we are to move again and those boxes are still not unpacked, you can pretty much chuck that stuff. Although I usually don't because most of the time I will rifle through them eventually and be like "OMG! I haven't seen this in years!!!"

Grats on the move.
Where in Washington are you? I grew up there and then went back to live in Seattle for a couple years. It's a beautiful state... but i may be biased

My new job is in Everett, and I live in Marysville which is about an hour north of the SeaTac Airport.
Hey I got the spare bedroom setup. Anybody want to drop by, let me know!

Congraulations on getting moved in, Sam! I'm glad you're up and running. And, be careful with that open-ended invite. You may soon have a house full of Tex fanatics.

Hey Matt,
Oh you missed the news a while back then. I transferred from Boeing Houston to Boeing Seattle. I'm working for the airplane division instead of the space division.

I always thought you worked for NASA.

I work for a company that works for NASA. Just about everybody in Houston works for a company that works for NASA. There are more contractors working for NASA than there are actual NASA employees.

Budget cuts I guess.
