Not to be picky but the idiom in the title of this thread doesn't actually apply in its traditional meaning to the actual events. But at least it wasn't tasteless unlike a headline I saw on a newspaper today which read like this "Steve Jobs RiP" (notice the lowercase "i"). Nevertheless, I agree, he will be missed and his imprint in the industry will never be forgotten. In the early 2000s, Apple had got to a point where many saw it as a stuffy work tool. But with Jobs' innovative ideas from the iPod and onwards, Apple became a Lifestyle brand, not just a Work brand. To do that involves incredible innovation and risk taking. This is how I will remember Steve Jobs, he's definitely made an impact on my lifestyle.

May he rest in peace and best wishes to his family, friends and relatives. I don't think I own any Apple stuff but as someone on another site said, no doubt his visions seeped into and inspired the design/look of many other devices I own. Also I am an animation fan and he was an early adopter/supporter/founder of Pixar, without his funding perhaps the animation industry would be lacking their similarly innovative visions.

The stuff of legends usually occur when you take fear out of the equation. Unfortunately, that bastard keeps crawling back just a few moments later. Bloody fear. It might be linked to survival, it's the prime destroyer of marvels-to-be.

Now they have no Hope, no Cash and no Jobs.
