You know, my life is rife with issues. For everything I succeed, at I seem to get knocked on my ass harder than the last time. I finished my short film this summer. Wrote the entire 178 page first season of my upcoming web series (yay triumphs!) but now I am sitting alone in a dark apartment because they cut off my power (November in Canada is pretty cold) using only candles for light. Trying to cope with my joblessness and balance that out with my up and coming successes. I have an interview at a convenience store to pay the bills and hopefully that'll cover basic survival. In the meantime it still really sucks sitting in a darkened apartment in candle light. Better than my car I guess. I use that as my refrigerator for the time being. It's cold enough to keep a cooler with bologna, mustard and some cheese so at least I have food to eat. My sister is keeping my frozen meats at her place. If any one would have asked me if I would be in this situation at the age of 34 I would have told them they were crazy. Life man, I tell you. Oh well there is a lot of good coming in the near future, it just sucks right now. Figured I should keep everyone posted. Geez

Sorry to hear this Stu... I hope one of those Successes make all these sacrifices worth it in the near future... Just keep your chin up, you are a very dedicated and talented man, I'm sure things will go your way soon...

Hang in there Stu. When life knocks you down, you can't quit. All you can do is keep going and trust that things will get better. At least you've got your friends and family to lean on during these literally dark times.

Thanks for spreading the love guys, but things are getting better. I got that job so already things are looking up. Step 1 of global domination is complete. Next one is get my rent paid. Step 3 is get my lights on. Step 4 get my internet up and running and start filming my webseries. Hopefully from there things will be unfolding as planned. The last of my failures this year is nearly coming to an end. When I get to that point I hope to share with you all just what the hell I have been up to for the last 5 years. Provided I don't get fired in the immediate future things will be getting better real fast real soon. Wanna hear the sad thing, I've worked at my own business for 5 years and this stupid minimum wage job will be making more money than I have in the last 5 years. It sucks toughing it out I tell you. You really have to take a beating to get what you want outta life. Had I have not been doing things the way I wanted to I could have easily been making a rediculous amount of money had I just went to Hollywood, or Canadian equivellant. They pay a lot of money for guys with my skills. Makes my trunk sandwich bittersweet but I tell you by the end of this, the last laugh will be mine. Thanks for everything guys, I swear I will share the love back soon.

glad you got some income coming in or will have shortly. well I suppose with no power there will be no need for internet....

film making is fun and all that but you should have a dayjob atleast uthil some forme of sucsess hits.. i have and im an actor, screan writer and a securety guard . (on the wholde film making topic here we are realising a christmas calender on des 1) ((il pop up a link when the show hits)) (((its in norwegian but it might be fun for you others too )))

Alright so I just wanted to post an update. Perhaps for myself at some future date but I do want to state that things are getting better. Here's the facts; Got a job and it is gonna save my ass, problem is that I will not be seeing a check for about 2 weeks. That means I have to ride out the next 14 days on $20. It's a good thing that I can get the day old bread from work or I'd have nothing to eat at my house. It may be depressing as hell but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I just gotta ride it out. Gonna suck for the next fortnight but from here on out things are looking up. Paychecks are already being claimed by 2 rent (Nov, Dec) then my outstanding Hydro power that was cut off and hopefully after that the outstanding internet bill. HOPEFULLY after that I will be back online. For the time being keep your fingers crossed cuz the ride is gonna suck but I'll let everyone know when I've made it through. Wish me luck, see ya on the other side!

PS, it's still better than that time I lived in my car. Especially this time of year in Canada. Brrr (I have free heat this time)
