One for the parents...

My Fiancé's father (who is a computer programmer) has almost finished creating a new piece of software some folks here might be interested in: A parental control software package called "Time Guardian".
What's unique about this package over other parental control software is the fact that it's geared towards time management rather than simple restrictions. It assists parents and individuals in controlling time spent on certain computer applications. Applications can be controlled individually, or in groups such as games, internet, etc. and manageable via either time-of-day restrictions or total time spent on that application or application type.
E.g. you can set up a 2 hour time limit for gaming on weekdays, and a 4 hours limit on weekends, and every time they play a game it will count towards this tally. Once the limit is reached, they will no longer be able to play the game, or any other game that has been classified under the "gaming" group.
It was originally created as a way of controlling my future little brother in law's computer usage. He's 16 and let's be honest: he's very much like we were at that age, only: when we were 16 we were playing Tex Murphy! Since then the idea to turn it into a marketable product was spawned, and this is the end result!
My role in the whole thing has been designing all the graphics, print and marketing collateral, as well as the website!
Now of course I am giving it a huge wrap because my future father-in-law made the software and I did all the design. But I also think it is a really great piece of software and would really benefit parents and families out there who are suffering from the result of gaming and internet addiction, especially with their children and teenagers!
If there are any people here who could either benefit from the software, or know anybody who would be interested, please help out by passing it on!!
The website for the product and information is: www.timeguardian.com.au.
If you guys also have any questions about the software, please just ask away. Would be good to bulk up that FAQ section on the website!
Cheers all!
