Lend me your voices!

For the Project Fedora video I am creating, I'm calling on YOU guys to help out with one particular element! Not only will it be fun, but you all will get to be a part of the video!

Basically I need to have a large crowd chanting the words "moon cult, moon cult, moon cult...." over and over. It will be as if these people were at a protest, chanting these words.

I need to get a fair number of these chants to add them all together and create the large crowd "feel", and this is where you all come in!

I will need as many of you as possible to record yourselves onto the microphone, chanting "moon cult, moon cult" over and over. For the pacing of the lines, use this ONLINE METRONOME and set it to 112, and each beat represents each word.

It does not matter is there are slight variations in the pacing as I can adjust these later. Also, you can do it as an individual or gather a group of people to do it with you because the more the merrier!

I need to get these clips before the Kickstarter launch date if possible. And you should share them with me in WAV format via some kind of file hosting service. I am happy to accept videos too if you only have a webcam to record it with.

Let me know if you are keen! Thanks all!

take my bloody voice!

i made two versions: nasal one (because i catched a cold) and kind of hoarse

Fantastic work mate! Loved the two variations, very good!

Can I ask one favor? Are you able to do them again (exactly as you did) only this time a little bit further away from the Microphone, only because I am picking up a lot of "popping" from the breath/wind hitting this mic.

Other than that, it's exactly what I am after!

OK, I made several versions that can work as loops, and one with all at the same time. I tried to even out the volume in with Acid, a loop program:

You can pick the loops you like.

you already did the job! to create the large crowd "feel", you know

Could be the metronome? Don't forget to turn it off when you actually record yourself.

Cub, hope mine is ok. Let me know

Cub, happy to give it a go but the acoustics in my room are pretty poor. In the room I would be recording in, there's no curtains (only blinds) and it's a pretty wide open room so there might be some echo. How fussy are you on the quality?
Slight echo is ok... but if you want to resolve it, you can try shouting it out the window so the sound is encouraged not to bounce off any walls. If you neighbours don't mind though! haha. But if it's not possible, echo is fine, I can adjust it and clean it up if need be.

Cheers,

Thanks a million to everybody who loaned me their voices. I will give them back to everyone, with interest!

The project is coming together nicely. Bigger than Ben Hur really.

If anybody wants to come to the party late, there is still time!

Cub, I'd love to, but I don't think I'll make the deadline. All my recording equipment (like most of my stuff) is in a box somewhere.
