A Kickstarter project of my very own

This is true. Your own humble and free-spirited young friend from the cold, hard north is launching a much smaller Kickstarter campaign very shortly.

A graphic novel, written by me and artwork by a talented fella named Benjamin Sawyer.

It's sci-fi, it's got flying cars, and one of the main characters is a private investigator.

Here's the cover art he drew earlier to give you a taste:

This is a much smaller project than our friends over at Big Finish, however.

Some of you have read my work previously, most notably the round robin thing we did a while back and also a few short stories I've posted up through the years. To those who know me and know what I can do - This story will be one of the best I've ever written. And the artwork is fantastic.

To those of you who do not know me, send us your donations anyway, and I will bless your firstborn to forever be smell faintly of honeysuckle.

I'll make sure and post the link to the project here. Not because I'm trying to drain your wallets in these Kickstarter-y times, but because if I did not post it here... Well, honestly, I believe my friends here would be put out with me.

See you in a bit.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I'm gonna start a kickstarter campaign to get an air conditioner installed in my apartment really soon too! Stay tuned! I'll be bottling some of the cold I recieve and sending it out to the highest pledgers. Seriously, it's effin hot.

But seriously, I'm in Fred. Tex gets the first cut of my check, but if they're any left over, I'd love to help get this published.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Fred,
I am horribly offended that you would dare ask for money before Tex's pledge drive has finished!!!!

Seriously, though you might be in for bad luck because of one of these 3 scenarios:

1. Tex gets fully funded and we have no money left over because we all snuck back in at the end and increased our pledges to the max we could afford. Therefore Tex is a success, and we have no money left over for you.

2. Tex does not not get fully funded and we are so upset and grief-stricken, that we resort to drinking. We blow all of our money on alcohol and we have no money left over for you.

3. Some people take money away from their Tex pledge to support you out of the goodness of their hearts, and this causes Tex to come up $100 short at the end. This will of course cause a lynch mob to fly to Norway to beat down your door, and you end up in the hospital. You will spend all your money on medical bills, and there will be no money left over for you.

I don't see how this can end well for you at all Fred. :?

I will take a look at your Kickstarter page after June 15th. :)
Samantha

LMAO ... a lynch mob going to Norway to beat down his door.

Don't underestimate Fred, however. We'd get inside with the torches, and pitchforks, and what-have you, only to realize he knew we were coming. Nothing more satisfying than to be behind a lynch mob filing into your house with lit torches, with a hammer, boards and nails and the foreknowledge that you've soaked the place in jet fuel.

He's just crazy enough to do that. Never back a Fred into a corner. :P

She has a point though, old boy. If Tex missed the mark because I gave you 15 dollars instead of them, I'd be very sad. But yes, after the 15th, and we're not all on option 2 (I'm not going to let that happen, don't worry), I'd love to help you along.

I've got a pitch fork, it's just getting it through customs....!

You got my cash Fred whenever you launch! Cool Kickstarters are like jello..............

Here's one I stumbled across as well. I first noticed it because Chris and Aaron backed it. But I gave it a look, it has a SUPER LOW funding amount, and I want to drum up some more good karma points by helping this guy make his project (which looks pretty neat) come to fruition.

I am a backer of that project. Anyone else want to join me?

I jumped at backing it because I'm always looking for a good game for my Android phone. Well, and because CJ/AC backed it.

Check the list, i'm their seventh backer ;)

As for you, Fred, keep us in the loop. Looks very cool indeed!
I'll keep you in the loop, have no fear on that score. And Sam? I don't live in the continental U.S.

I'm not the one deciding when the project goes up

But then, our project is small-fry compared to the Big One pasted on the right side here.

Looks like a good project. Maybe I will back, after I backed the Brassft Punk project. A brass band tribute to Daft Punk! Can't wait! :P

Seriously, I might find a few quid for you. As for the lynch mob, I live not that far away, so I could gather some angry villagers.
Also. Have no fear. I would never allow Tex Murphy to suffer.

Just sayin'.

Oh dear lord, my nerves. Two Kickstarter campaigns of which I care deeply about. At the same time.

One decides the future of my favorite series of games, the other decides the future of my career.

Here's a sneak preview of what it'll look like, once it's been approved:

Whoa! Your voice/accent is not at all as I'd imagined! Subconsciously, for my own amusement probably, I would always hear the voice of Jack Black when reading your posts - LoL! Looks like I'll have to reconfigure my firmware ~ The project looks awesome, btw :D
